CHAPTER 26 - Nightmares

Taylor 3rd Person POV

After her talk with the Dursleys, Taylor laid on her bed, thinking about the past few months, and even the past few years. She never really took in how much danger they got into every year. She never really thought about what could have happened if she never even befriended Harry all those years ago. She probably would become friends with him eventually, seeing as Ron was her cousin, but would they have been as close?

Taylor knew that Harry was most definitely blaming himself for Sirius's death. He most definitely was thinking about all of the ways he might have been able to save Sirius or stop Taylor from getting tortured. It still haunted her along with the image of Dolohov. His face was appearing in her nightmares more than ever since the fight at the Ministry of Magic along with Bellatrix's laughter.

Taylor only ate a short dinner that evening, hoping to get some rest. She had obviously slept a bit, but most was filled with nightmares of the Cruciatus curse and Sirius falling through the veil. She had gotten quite close to her best friend's godfather when at Grimmauld Place, and although she was never as close as Harry, the loss struck hard.

Mrs. Prewett 3rd Person POV

Mrs. Prewett watched as her daughter ate and then excused herself rather quickly. She knew that the girl had gone through a lot that year (as she did every year) and hoped that things would be alright for her. Now that the ministry was not able to ignore Voldemort anymore, the war was starting once again. She could only hope that Taylor wouldn't have to go through the losses that she did.

Mrs. Prewett and her daughter had a bond that didn't really need any recognition. They didn't spend as much time together as people would expect as they lived alone, but it was mainly due to Taylor always being welcomed with her cousins and Aunt Molly. She also spent a lot of childhood with Harry, and Mrs. Prewett couldn't help but notice that there might be more than friendship in the future. She noticed how Harry watched Taylor walk back to her house and stare out of his window at the house across the street.

Up until Taylor was five, her childhood was full of fun and noise and laughter. Fabian and Gideon stayed over all the time at their old cottage. She spent weekends with her cousins, bonding with all of them. It was Gideon who started calling her the third Weasley triplet, but it was Fabian who used to call her and Ginny twins as well.

After the attack, she became quieter and reserved. It was always the Prewett twins that brought out the rambunctious side of her, but they weren't there anymore. This, of course, didn't stop Taylor. She never stopped Taylor from having fun with the twins and pulling off pranks. Even though she sent a letter lecturing her daughter, she couldn't help but beam with pride at the toilet seat that was sent back home. Taylor knew this. She kept up that side of herself so that her mother would always see her lost love in their daughter. Now, the same forces that had killed that lost love had come back. And she would do anything to make sure her daughter didn't feel the pain that she did.

Harry 3rd Person POV

Taylor and Harry were to meet at the park to catch up. Harry knew that the girl was going to bring up what happened at the ministry, and he was dreading it. It made him think about what had happened, and he knew that he wasn't going to get out of it with an 'I'm fine.' He had nightmares of Sirius falling through the veil and Taylor screaming, Hermione unconscious and Ron losing his mind; all of them blaming him from not being able to stop it.

Those thoughts filled his head and before he knew it, he looked up and saw a pink-haired girl, loose locks flowing in the wind, sitting on the swing. She seemed to be staring out the other way, so Harry walked up behind her and then sat on the swing next to her, not saying anything. Taylor turned around, acknowledging Harry's presence, but stayed quiet. The silence was coming again, but this time it wasn't a sad silence or an awkward one, it was comfortable and knowing. Eventually, as the sun was slowly coming down on the other side of the sky, Taylor breathed, "Hey."
