Falling

Chaper 26

Kai's POV

I remembered this roller skating place that my mom used to take Mia and myself Im sure she'll like it. I just want to see that gorgeous smile on her face and a reason to hold her hand. I sound like a lovesick teenage boy.

Once we got inside I could see the excitement in her eyes. "Woooow this place look so cool. Come on" she said practically dragging me inside. This is the same girl who was scared of falling a couple of minutes ago. Just thinking about it makes me laugh.

"And what is it that you find so amusing?"She asked. "Did anyone ever told you how cute you sound with your accent?" I asked her she turned around and gave me a look that says you better watch it. "Do they rent roller skates cause I don't have any?" She asked. "There's no ways that I'll wear someone else's shoes that person might have severe foot fungus" I said resulting in her rolling her eyes at me.

"Don't roll your eyes at me missy" I said laughing. "What is that my new nickname 'missy'? And what if we go ice skating and then?" She asked. "Yes I think it's cute it suites you. And are you lowkey asking me on a date?" I asked playfully just then my driver came and handed me two bags. "What's that"she asked curiously. "Take a guess" I said slowly taking it out if the bag.

"Oooh roller skates but how do you know my size?" She asked. "Well I have my ways" I said stroking my chin. "Must be Mia" she said I should have known tone. "Yes come on lets sit down and change our shoes" I said. When I was done I help her put her skates on. And started skating  away from her. "Kai where you going?" She asked in little panicked voice. I was in a mood of teasing her a little. I joined a group but still had my eyes on her, she struggled to get up but she finally do then ever so slowly started skating.

Im now not to far behind her when some guy bumped into her making her lose her balance. "Gotcha" I said as I catch her as she was about to fall. "You! Where did you go! You left me alona! What if got hurt?" She half screamed and hit me in the chest. "Woah. Woah. Woah. Calm down I told you that I'd catch you. Come here" I pulled her into me and stroked her back. What just happened it's like something triggerd a bad memory.

"All better now?" I asked and she nod her head. "Come on hold my hand and don't let go" I said. We ended up having a lot of fun and I also landed on my ass once or twice cause Chleo ended up making friends with a 5 year old also learning to skate so I had to hold on to the both of them.

"I almost don't want to go home" she said as we where changing shoes. "We should come again Im this close to being a pro" she said I just gave her a side eye making her laugh. I have found that it's my favourite thing to do. Making her laugh.

"Ok Miss pro next time we'll go skate at the beach" I said as serious as I could. "You're joking right Kai?" She asked I didn't answer just got up and walked to keep me from laughing. "Kai?" I heard her behind me.

I think I used up all of the poor woman's energy. She fell asleep on our way home. After skating we went bowling for a bit and then I wanted us to go skyflying but she was too scared so we  went dark riding I think she liked it the most. I took a ton of pictures of her mostly. Will send it later cause we left her phone at home which was my fault she was angry for a minute but I let her call her parents from my phone so they wouldn't panic. Just like Mia I noticed that she's a daddies girl.

I felt her stirring next to me as we neared the house. "Are we home yet" she asked. "Two more minutes. I already told Mary to run you a bath then we will have dinner and watch a movie to help you sleep" I told her. "Hm" was all that came from her.

She must have fallen asleep again. I carried her inside to her room. "Chleo wake up" I lightly tapped on her shoulder. "We're home you have to take a bath so you'll sleep better. We can skip dinner and the movie" I told her. After a minute or two she opened her eyes. "Do I have to" she asked pouting like a little kid. "Im sure you don't want to be tired at work do you?" I told her.

"I'll ask my boss the day off" she said giving me the best puppy dog look she can master.  "Don't give me that look" I said. "Pleeease I'll work from home. Besides it's your fault" came her reply. "Ok fine just go bath before your water gets cold. Should I send your food up? " I asked getting ready to leave. "No I'll join you downstairs in 10" she said and I let Mary to set the table we'd be down in 15. I went to take a shower and change.

Just as I entered the dining room I found her waiting. "Have you been waiting long?"I asked. "No I just got here too myself" her reply came. "Good let me dish up for you" I said. "Thanks you don't have to" she said. "I know. But I want to do it." I told her.

We continued to talk about our day and ended up in the cinema room. "Wow how on earth did I miss this room and Im almost leaving already" she said. I almost forgot that she's leaving as soon Mia return. I have to do something and fast. I just got the change to get to know her outside work. 

"What movie do you want to watch" I said changing the topic . "Im fine with anything really" she said. "Ok how abouuuuuut this one. Ava?" I asked her. "Yes I have been meaning to watch it for a while now" she replied. "Ok make yourself comfortable I'll get the snacks what do you want on your pop corn" I asked her. "You can just lightly salt mine. I probably finish mine so we can share it that's if you want  yours lightly salted too" I heard her say when I went to get the snacks.

"Right are you ready"I asked she just nod her head I turned down the lights when the movie started. It's not a bad movie just not my thing I just chose it cause it's the first thing I saw but looking at her she really seem to be paying attention to the movie truth is I find it almost impossible to pay attention.
