(7) Pink Diamonds & Martinis

1 month later 

Aubrie woke up to Bucky kissing up back in her apartment. She immediately jumped and turned around. 

"You scared out of it.." she said 

"Sorry.." he said as he handed her a coffee. 

"How did you even get in here?" She said as she took a sip. 

"I had a copy of your key made. I wish you had just stayed at the penthouse." He said 

She looked down. 

"We are just fake engaged Buck." She said 

"I know that. Anyways I'll see you at the office." He said as he kissed her cheek. 

She heard her door shut and she let out a sigh. She dragged herself out of bed and got herself ready. When she arrived at her office Bucky was waiting. 

"I just seen you. Why are you here?" She said 

"Because I forgot to tell you. That the girls would like for you to join them Saturday for brunch before the Breast Cancer gala. But I figured I would ask considering I get attitude for saying yes for you." He said 

"Sure..I'll go." She said 

He pulled her in between his legs and kissed her. He grabbed her ass and gave it a good squeeze before letting her go. 

"I gotta go upstairs now." He said 

"Okay have a great day.." she said as she went to sit down. 

He rolled his eyes as he walked out. 

That Saturday morning at 1130 she met the girls at the River Cafe for brunch. They all had pink mimosa and breakfast. After she was done with the girls she headed to the hair salon got her hair and nails done.

Bucky found her doing her make up at the penthouse in her robe. 

"I like the hair. Did you decide on a dress?" He said 

She pointed to the one she picked out. 

"Brie?" He said 

"Please don't call me that." She said as a shiver went down her spine. 

"Okay Aubrie..I know that you are tired of this. But I'm almost done getting everything transferred and done." He said

"Sure.." she said as she untied her robe and slipped on her dress. He zipped it for her while she did her jewelry. She slipped on her heels grabbed her clutch and they headed out. 

They put on a good show with fake smiles and the occasional kiss all night. Even had a few dances on the dance floor. During the dinner portion Sam had them all laughing with a story from his recent business trip to Sweden. Bucky leaned in her ear.

"I wanna go home and take you to bed." He said 

She looked at him. He kissed her they began to make out right there at the table. 

"We should go..damn she's an amazing kisser." He said as he helped her up and they left. 

When they got to the penthouse clothes came off and they hit the bed. The next morning like every morning he found her gone in the guest room. 

"Why do you do this? I slept beside you when I got back from Tahoe and you didn't even know I was there. I'm not going to cuddle you and I'm not gonna ask you to." He said 

"Maybe I don't want to. Did you ever think about that? Or I know you didn't cause everything is all about you and how things look to you." She said as she walked out. 

Breakfast was quiet but the tension was high and sizzling between them. After she finished her breakfast she left since he had something to go to for his family. She called her mom as she drank some wine. 

"Hey mom.." she said 

"Hey sweetie. How is everything?" Marybeth said 

"It's going good." She said

"That's good. It's good to see you happy again and out of the dark hole you were in.." Marybeth said 

"Mom.." she said

"I'm serious Aubs. Granted I don't agree with the whole situation with your boss after what you went through with Jason and your old boss but it's none of my business. Anyways..you are still coming in for the holidays?" Mary Beth said 

"Yeah I am." She said as she poured more wine into her glass. 

They continued on with the conversation. That night she couldn't sleep as night mares filled her head of her ex husband.
