"Get out," I whispered, my voice shaking slightly. My fists tightened, causing my finger nails to dig into my hand.
"Get out," I repeated, raising my tone. My dad looked at me with a weak smile. Don't be fooled. I told myself. He's a monster.
"GET THE FUCK OUT!" I screamed. My body instinctively cowered away into the doorway of which I just came from.
"What is all this yelling for!?" My mother's voice echoed throughout the big house. I felt a familiar numbing pain in my head.
Her eyes stuck to the man standing in the middle of the room. Him and his pitiful weak smile. What surprised me, and filled me with fear, is when she kissed him on the cheek.
I jumped when she sharply turned towards me, "Don't you use such tone with your father, now go and give him a hug. He just returned home."
I shook my head while my hand fiddles with the lock on the door. I stepped back out of the house when I finally got it opened.
"No," I mumbled, stumbling back further.
"Get back inside! Your father misses you!" My mother demanded, reaching out to grab my hand. I staggered backwards some more, causing her to miss me by a few inches.
"Fuck this!" I yelled, bolting completely out of the house. I heard my mother and father's pleas as I ran.
Coincidently, it started to rain. The rain pelted down onto me as I ran. I'm not sure where I'm going. How far I'll go. But I know for sure I am definitely not going back.
My feet carried me all the way back to the beach. The usually calm ocean was churning with the rain. My eyes fluttered behind me. Cold. Empty. Streets.
Who can I go to? I can't be for sure if Johnny's mom and step-dad are home or not. And it's not like I can stop in and check.
Daniel. I don't want to resort to that, but it may be my only option. And if I stay here any longer, I'm sure my parents will find me. I used to run away to the beach when I was little with Johnny. They always found us.
If I'm not with Johnny, then they won't know where I'll be. Cause if I'm going to be completely honest, I never told them about Daniel. So Daniel it is.
...
I felt awkward about knocking on their apartment door. I've been there loads of times, and Daniel's mother loves me. It's just, well, we aren't on good terms. And I'm positive he probably isn't happy about Johnny and I, "being sick".If I know Tommy, then I know he probably really played it up for the teachers. I can't imagine the things he probably said when trying to get people to believe our little lie.
Never mind that, I'm soaked from head to toe and I have two angry parents on my trail. It was much better when I only had one.
My fists pounded against the door. I didn't stop till I heard someone call, "I'm coming! I'm coming!"
Daniel.
He looked at me with a shock written expression. After a few minutes of silence he then realized I was soaking wet.
"Shit, um, Y/n, come inside, hurry you'll catch a cold," He mumbled, motioning for me to come in.
When Daniel's mother saw me she threw a fit, "Oh dear! Y/n what were you thinking standing in all that rain? Why didn't you just come in!? Now you're going to get sick! Daniel go get the poor girl a towel!"
Daniel nodded and rushed to the bathroom. I'm assuming he hasn't told his mother anything yet. I'm semi glad. She probably wouldn't have such a nice reaction if he did.
"I'm back," Daniel called out, "Here." He handed me a beige towel. It was warm and felt nice against my cold skin.
"Thanks," I whispered weakly. Daniel nodded.
"So what happened?" He finally asked.
I took a deep breath before responding, "My dad is back."
Daniel's face dropped into a deep frown, "That bastard."
"Language," Daniel's mother called out from the living room.
He ignored her, "Did he touch you?"
I shook my head, "I left before he had the chance."
"Good," Daniel muttered. He gave me a concern filled look.
"I'm guessing you don't want to go home," He said, crossing his arms over his chest.
"I'm not going back. If I can't stay here I'll find somewhere else to stay, I don't want to bring trouble but I also can't sleep in the same house as that man,"
I shifted slightly. Daniel paused for a moment to think.
"You can stay here," He finally answered.
I felt heavy rocks being taken off my shoulders. Thank god. I'm not even sure where else I would've gone.
"Thank you," I thanked awkwardly. Daniel just shrugged and went to his room to grab me some clothes and other supplies that I can use.
While I waited I thought about Johnny. How much I want to be in his arms right now. For him to tell me everything is ok. But it's better this way. I don't want him to get in trouble with Sid.
The last time I was over at his house, it was not good.
This is poorly explained so basically Y/n's father was abusive towards here mentally and physically. He ended up cheating on Y/n's mom and then leaving with the woman he cheated on her with. That caused the mom to become abusive mentally towards Y/n. So that's kinda like the story, I'll try to explain it better in future chapters. I hope you enjoyed this one!
