Warning: angst. Sad boi shit

Dio was swift as a leopard. Sly as a fox. But thanks to Baron Zeppeli and his friends, Jonathan just might be able to keep up with him. However, Dio was strong enough to pulverize flesh and bone with ease. Could Jonathan keep up with that?

“The battle will end the moment they meet!” Speedwagon said, sweat forming on the edge of his brow. You could feel his uneasiness and see his hands that hovered above you tremble with anxiety. You turned your attention back to the blonde. You could see the conflict in both Dio and Jonathan’s eyes. Despite being enemies for years on end, Jonathan and Dio were still brothers. They were raised under the same roof, under the same rules, under the same man. Even if they were going to kill one another, they still cared for each other, deep down. You knew Dio had compassion for Jonathan and vice-versa. Dio could have killed Jonathan as soon as he’d walked through the doors. But he didn’t. He wanted this to be fair. He wanted to battle it out with Jonathan, and actually give him a chance.

“Brilliant!” Speedwagon said. “Jojo’s snuck around to Dio’s right!”

“His blindside,” You murmured, shifting uncomfortably. You winced and gripped your side, and Speedwagon grabbed your shoulder worriedly. “S-shit...Jonathan’s a veteran fighter, isn’t he?” You asked, watching as he expertly wielded the sword in his hands as he rushed towards Dio. He thrust the sword into Dio’s arm and twisted, before jerking the swords up, tearing Dio’s arm from his shoulder. Dio cried out in pain as you quickly jerked forward in shock, eyes wide, momentarily forgetting about the sharp pain that shot up when you moved suddenly. Speedwagon kept a firm grip on your shoulders, keeping you from getting up as you tried. You wanted to fight against him and stand, but you couldn’t. You were too weak at the moment.

Jonathan then swung the sword into the air, and you saw Hamon glint across the blade before he drug it down across Dio. You watched in horror as Dio’s body was split in half. Speedwagon’s cheers fell upon deaf ears as everything around you seemed to pause. The two men fighting the zombies behind you fell quiet. The fire stopped crackling. You stopped breathing.

The only thing you could hear was the ticking from the pocket watch hanging around your neck.

“H-He did it…” Speedwagon said quietly before his voice rose in a cheer. “Jojo’s defeated Dio!”

You brushed Speedwagon’s hands off you while he was distracted and stood. Your body swayed for a moment as you grabbed onto the wall. Was this seriously how it would end? Dio couldn’t have died that easily. No. He wasn’t dead.

“Fools!” Dio’s voice rung in the air and you felt the corner of your lip twitch up. Dio had frozen Jonathan’s body.

“Y/n!” Speedwagon said in a warning tone, and before you could ask, you felt something wrap around your neck. You choked out a gasp as the rope tightened around your throat and you were yanked back. You stumbled over a forgotten body, making you fall back and for the rope to tighten. You snapped your head back as you hooked your fingers under the rope, trying to loosen it from your airway. Straizo was looming behind you, the rest of the rope in his hand as he yanked, making you wince as your breath was trapped in your throat. You grabbed your dagger and sliced the rope, quickly rolling away as you gasped for air. You held your throat as you glared up at him.

“B-Bastard!” You spat, pushing yourself onto your feet.

“You will not interfere with Jojo,” He said, dropping the rope.

“I’m not some fucking circus animal you can try and control, dammit!” You yelled, branding the daggers he’d thrown at you earlier. His eyes widened.
