The autumn breeze welcomed Lou when she stepped out of the building's main door.

"Where should I go today?" She thought to herself as she made her way to the parking lot. She spotted her bike chained in one of the metal bars installed on one side of the parking lot. It's been a while since she used it. She'd rather take the bus after a whole day of work.

She was about to reach down to pick up the combination lock when a black, heavily tinted car stopped in front of her. She didn't mind until it honked as if trying to get her attention. She stood up and squinted her eyes to see who's behind the dark glazed window of the driver's seat.

Another honk confirmed that it's trying to call her over. "Am I on his way?" She thought looking around her. Maybe it's one of her bosses. She walked towards the car to confirm and was leaning in closer when the window wound down.

"Hi." The man greeted Louisa. His hair under his cap almost covers his eyes. She can tell he's smiling under his mask. "Too soon to be this close, don't you think?"

Her eyes grew wider as she realized her face was just an inch away from the man behind the car door. She stepped back in surprise and totally lost her balance.

"Ooooh holy mother of gaaah!" She screamed as she fell backwards. She instinctively used her hands to break her fall. "Owww!" She exclaimed as she landed on the rough cement.

"Oh my God. Are you okay?!" The man hurriedly stepped out of his car and approached her. He grabbed her hands and saw that they're bleeding.

"I'm fine." She pulled her hands away and tried to stand up. She winced from the pain of her bottoms.

"Here, let me.." The man grabbed her arm and pulled her up. She did not protest this time. "Let me take you to a hospital." The man led her to his car. This girl has a habit of falling on the ground, jeez.

"What? No!" She said, pulling away from his grasp. Is this man trying to kidnap me?

"Hey. I'm at fault. I startled you and now you're bleeding. Just..let me take you to a clinic at least?" He sounded sincere.

Even so, her eyes narrowed making it obvious that she thought he's being suspicious.

"Look, I think it's wise that you're being cautious but those hands need to be treated right away. It can get infected." Louisa still didn't answer. Knowing the reason for her reluctance, he looked around and said "I'll show you my face inside the car, just let me take you to a clinic."

Louisa winced once again with the pain. The man no longer waited for her to respond; he took her arm and got her into the passenger's seat in a blink of an eye. She remained stunned until this mysteriously demanding guy closed his side of the door.

When they drove away, she pretty much accepted that she may no longer see the light of day. But there's something about him she can't put her finger on. His cold temperament was so fondly familiar.

He faced her and asked "Don't you remember me?"

She shook her head. "How can I remember you when I can't even see your face?" She did her best to sound unfazed by his presence. But this guy may just be a psycho.

"Right. You're right." He then started his car.

"Heyyyy. You said you'd show me your face!" She started to panic as she realized that she's in a car with a total stranger. Her hands automatically grabbed the door handle.

He smirked underneath his mask when he glanced at her hand ready to open the door. "How's your head?" He asked, totally ignoring her protest.

"What are you talking about? I did not hit my hea--" She gasped as she slowly realized who the man was. "It's you! You're the man from that night!" She blurted out pointing her finger at him.

"Yes. I'm here to return something you dropped that night." They're now out of the CGF parking lot and his speed picked up.

"How did you find me?" Lou asked, still amused with what's happening. "Are you...stalking me?" Her grasp on the door handle tightened.

"Sort of." He teasingly answered. "I did use my connections to find you, Louisa."

Seeing how her expression changed from anxiety to terror; he snickered.

"Haha! Hey, relax, I'm not some creepy guy." He shot her a sideway glance and noticed her swollen bothered eyes. "How are you, though?" The puffiness of her face made her look even cuter.

"Oh..uhm...I'm.." She thought for a moment, he must have figured out her relationship to the girl who crashed her car. "I'm...I'm a mess. Just like how you found me that night, even worse." She looked out to the window letting out a heavy sigh. Her anxiety has now switched into somber.

"I'm sorry for your loss." He answered sincerely. "I wanted to stay that night at the hospital to make sure you were okay but time isn't really a luxury I can spend freely."

Lou's eyebrow furrowed at his statement. "You were at the hospital?" She gazed in his direction and something in her guts tells her that she knows this man.

"We're here." The man parked his car not far from a small clinic and opened the door. He walked around and opened the passenger door for her. "Let's talk some more after we get you fixed."
