"I'll see you soon!" (Y/n) said as she waved her parents goodbye one last time, exchanging hugs and other forms of affection despite the bus arriving about five minutes prior—they had spent fifteen minutes before the bus arrived to pick up the young student saying goodbye and stuff.
"We'll be waiting!" her mother said as she and her father waved, watching as she got onto the bus.
(Y/n) shivered slightly, rubbing her upper arms as her legs were slightly cold. Since the drop in temperature about a month or two prior, she had switched from her usual socks and skirt to leggings underneath her skirt—similar to what Uraraka had been doing since the beginning of the year. She walked onto the bus, greeting some of her other classmates before sitting down in one of the empty seats, leaning against the window as the bus began to move along the still snowy terrain.
Kirishima, who had been on the bus longer than she had, turned around in his seat as he sat in front of her. "I got a call from Fat Gum yesterday regarding work-studies," he stated, leaning his chin against his arms as she pulled her bag off and set it on the ground between her legs.
"Oh yeah? What'd he say?" she asked, avoiding eye contact as she rummaged through her bag to check for her stuff. "Anything new at his agency?"
I bet Fat Gum told Kiri that I wouldn't be going to his agency this next round, especially since he basically kicked me out to go to Endeavor's agency, she thought as she zipped her bag back up, leaning against the seat. I wonder how upset Kiri is going to be...
"It's so awesome that you're able to do a work-study with Endeavor!" he exclaimed grabbing the back of the seat and leaning towards her. "I'm sad that we won't be fighting together, but you're going to work with the Number One Hero! That's incredible."
Not exactly what I was expecting, but I'll take it. (Y/n) broke out into a smile, relieved with his response to the new information.
"Thanks, Kiri," she said leaning back against her seat. "I was worried you'd be upset with me, especially since I didn't really get the chance to tell you about it before I got transferred over."
"It's fine, I get it," he assured her with a smile, turning back around in his seat as the bus stopped again—(Y/n) quickly peeking out the window to see that Midoriya was getting on the bus next.
Happy New Year to us.
"You're going to Endeavor?" All Might questioned as (Y/n), Midoriya, and Bakugo sat across from him ((Y/n) in the center for obvious reasons). "All four of you? That's great! Be sure to learn all you can."
As All Might and Midoriya discussed Blackwhip and his One For All training, (Y/n) messed with the end of her skirt and ran a few thoughts through her head, I'm still shaken up that Riki is actually my Great Uncle Shigeo. I wonder if he knew or even remembers that I'm his great niece. It's possible he forgot after he died, or maybe he avoided the subject cause he knew that I'd question him more about it.
