Eleanor fell to the ground of a dingy alleyway, unaware of where...or when she was. She winced as she felt her stitches pop and blood soak her shirt.
"Well that's just great."
Eleanor thought to herself as she slowly got up and took in her surroundings.
A relieved smile broke on her face, as she realized that they had actually escaped the apocalypse, despite all odds.
"Five, you did it! You did it...Five?"
Eleanor called out happily before noticing that her siblings were no longer by her side.
"Five? Diego?? Klaus?! Anyone?!?"
Eleanor's heart raced as she looked up at the bright blue orb dissipating, leaving her completely alone.
She hastily made her way out of the alley as the sharp pain returned in her side. Focusing on finding her family, she ignored the stabbing sensation as she made her way across the busy street.
The sidewalks were filled with people in old fashioned clothes, giving Eleanor strange glances.
Noticing the dated looks, the telepath realized that Five must have sent them further back than he had intended.
"Hey, are you alright miss?" A young man asked, pulling Eleanor from her thoughts.
"What? Oh-yeah I...I'm fine." Eleanor lied as she tried making sense of her surroundings.
"Where am I?" She asked as she rubbed her head in a futile effort to alleviate her growing headache.
"Dallas, Texas." The man answered, confused to how she didn't know.
"They year- what year it is?" Eleanor clarified hurriedly as she grabbed her side, the pain becoming nearly unbearable.
"It's August 7, 1959. Are you sure you're okay?" The man questioned and Eleanor finally took a good look at him.
He was handsome, blond hair and a nice smile. But what struck Eleanor were his kind eyes that reminded her of Diego.
"Maybe Dawn can take a look at her when she gets home from work. I'd hate to leave her alone in the state that she's in...wait is that blood??"
Eleanor heard the man think to himself and she relaxed slightly, knowing that his intentions were pure.
"Thank you for your help, but I-I need to..." Eleanor began to walk away when the man quickly chased after her.
"Wait, hold on! Please, let me take you to my sister. She's a nurse and can tend to that wound of yours. I promise, I just want to help." He assured her and Eleanor hesitated for a moment before her vision began to blur.
"Shit, not now. I don't have time for this."
Eleanor thought to herself as she tried blinking the dizziness away, but it only worsened.
Her face turned sickly pale as she swayed back and forth, struggling to maintain balance.
"Miss, are you alright? You don't look so good." The man worried as he put his arms on a wobbly Eleanor's shoulders to steady her.
"I-I just...I need...I need to find them." Eleanor mumbled, delirious from the blood loss.
"Find who?" He asked, the concern evident in his voice.
"My family."
Eleanor's eyes rolled to the back of her head as she fell limp in the man's arms, unaware of what was awaiting her.
