I approached her, she seemed calm then when she saw it was me she threw a frying pan at me.
I dodged and it hit the wall, YOU! She hissed.
I put my hands up in surrender, I'm sorry I said reaching for her.
She pushed my hand away, Jason I'm leaving no matter what!
And the kids are coming with me!
Babe?
Don't babe me!
Please just hear me out, I'm coming with you guys.
The anger left her face as she stood up from her crouched potion.
I reached out to her again and this time she came willingly.
I'm sorry for getting mad at you, I just don't like being man handled.
So I got defensive, so I was ready when you got back for round two.
I'm ready to leave when you are I whispered in her ear.
The kids came in wearily probably thinking we were fighting again.
It's ok Amy told them leaving my embrace.
The kids run up to us and gave us hugs.
When are we leaving? Jade questioned.
Right now Amy said looking over at me.
I nodded my head in agreement, we spent the next hour packing and getting supplies.
We end up taking the jeep that the kids and their real parents came in.
Jade and Junior fill asleep in the back seat.
I grabbed Amy's free hand in mine and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

Amy's POV

We been driving for hours, the kids were asleep in the back.
Jason and I took turns driving, I felt the tension leave Jason's hand as we got farther away from Crystal lake.
I know this was a huge change for him, well my showing up in his life was a big change for him to begin with.
We finally pulled off at a truck stop to get some grub.
Jason reluctantly left his mask in the jeep.
I ordered a T-bone stake, Jason did the same while the kids got something for the kids menu.
After eating the kids begged us for something from the little shop.
So we gave in, Jade got a stuffed panda while Junior picked out a truck.
We were back on the road in under two hours.
