Boundaries

Approaching Hoseok and Jimin's shared room, she could hear a few voices shouting at each other. However, she couldn't make out what they were saying. Everyone seemed to be shouting, making it impossible to hear what they were arguing about.

Sighing, she knocked on the door. The voices quieted down immediately but no one opened the door. She knocked again. Harder this time. The door opened slightly, Namjoon popping his head out to look at Yoora.

"Yes?" a strained smile on his face.

"Let me in," she said flatly.

Namjoon's smile dropped and he looked back into the room, debating whether or not to let Yoora in. Rolling her eyes, Yoora pushed past him and entered the room.

There were three things that Yoora noticed as soon as she entered the room.

One, Jimin was crying.

Two, Jungkook's knuckles were bloody and split open.

Three, the mirror was splintered, pieces of mirror on the ground. That explained Jungkook's hand.

"Look, this isn't a good time. Could you please give us some privacy? These are things we need to discuss as a group," Namjoon said.

"Oh, I think it's a fantastic time,"

"Please-"

"Sit down,"

She looked at all of their faces. Her eyes lingering on Jimin's noticeably longer.

"Now, I don't know what the hell this fight was about and who started it,"

Namjoon made a move to speak when she added, "Nor do I care because it doesn't concern me," shutting Namjoon down.

"But, it does concern me when someone is injured, and when someone seems to be emotionally out of it,"

Jungkook's face paled. Silence ensued as everyone exchanged nervous looks.

"Yoora, it's okay. No one made me cry, I just..." Jimin spoke up.

"Really? Then why does Hoseok look like he's about to murder Jungkook?" Everyone turned to look at Hoseok, who was glaring at Jungkook.

"Well?"

The tension was palpable.

Hoseok was glaring at Jungkook, Jimin was frowning and Taehyung seemed pissed off at something.

"Taehyung, come with me. The rest of you, go back to your own rooms."

Taehyung got up from the edge of the bed and followed Yoora out, scowling at the floor.

Jungkook's POV

As soon as Tae hyung closed the door, "What the fuck is your problem?" Hoseok hyung exploded.

Jin sighed and rubbed his face, his patience was wearing thin.

"Hyung, I-" I didn't know what to say. I had no valid explanation as to why I did what I did. I had no excuse for attempting to hurt Jimin hyung and actually hurting Tae hyung.

"Exactly, you had no reason to hit Jimin, so why? Get a fucking grip of yourself, Jungkook," Hoseok hyung yelled, wrapping Jimin in his arms protectively.

Seeing Hoseok hyung's arms around Jimin ignited something within me, rousing my anger.

"Get your hands off of him," the words out of my mouth before I could even process my thoughts.

Hoseok hyung looked at me, disbelief in his eyes. Hell, even I was confused with what I had just said. What on earth was I thinking?

"Okay, that's enough," Jin hyung spoke up.

"Jungkook, what's going on? You don't usually get this angry. You have never lost control before," Yoongi hyung spoke up.

I stayed silent. There was nothing for me to explain. I could feel Jin hyung's eyes on me.

I gulped thickly. I had absolutely no idea what was going on with me. I couldn't control my fury when I had seen Hoseok hyung and Jimin hyung cuddling in bed when I had come into the room earlier with Tae hyung.

Author's POV

"I-I'm sorry, Jimin," Jungkook apologized shakily.

Silence ensued yet again as their youngest uttered those words.

"Hyung," Jimin said.

Jungkook looked up, confused as to what Jimin was saying.

"I'm your hyung," Jimin whispered.

"Next time you address me, be more respectful," Jungkook's heart broke.

Jimin's POV

"Hyung," I added.

Kookie looked at me and I could see the confusion in his eyes.

"I'm your hyung," I uttered, my voice cracking.

"Next time you address me, be more respectful," I said, forcing those words out of my mouth.

It was time he realised that he can't keep taking advantage of me. That he can't keep on hurting me.

Hoseok hyung's words came to my mind.

"Never put him before you. You are your number one priority. And if he can't see you wanting his attention and love, well screw him. He's the one missing out,"

A hard lump lodged in my throat, painfully constricting the narrow airway. I hated to admit that Hoseok hyung was right. But at the same time, I couldn't live without Jungkook. I've been in love with him for 5 years.

My heart clenched painfully as I saw Jungkook's face when I had set up the boundary of honorifics. He looked as though someone had told him his dog had died. I hated seeing him like this. And it's my fault.

I didn't realise that I had been crying yet again until I felt Hoseok hyung's hands wiping away the tears from my cheeks.

The frown on Jungkook's face was so deep and he was on the verge of tears. All I wanted to do was hug him and never let him go. Yet I couldn't.

Jungkook needed to understand that he needed to respect me. I was not his plaything. I may have been very patient and accepting of his jokes and behaviour towards me, but he crossed the line this time. Trying to hit me was not okay. Hitting Tae was not okay.

Jungkook needed to learn how to behave appropriately and how to control his anger. And he would only learn his lesson when I set boundaries.

So for once, I'm going to put me before you, Jungkook.
