However, as nice as that moment was, Yoora pulled back with a hard look.
She had put up her mask.
"What are you doing here? How did you find me?" she asked in a cold voice.
Yoora's POV
As happy as I was to see Jaemin again, I couldn't let myself open up to anyone and afford to get hurt.
Author's POV
"We need your help," Jaemin said and explained the on-goings. After hearing all of this, Trisha furrowed her eyebrows.
"Okay, but what does this have to do with us?" Trisha asked, crossing her arms.
"We need you to protect them, you guys are the only ones who can defeat them. Please. In return, you'll get paid how much you want," Jaemin pleaded. Yoora raised her eyebrows.
"I don't want money. I have a lot of it thanks. I want to be able to murder Jisoo and not be charged with murder. We'll take the job if you agree," Yoora negotiated.
"Either way, you won't get charged with murder because she's wanted by the police anyway," Jaemin informed them.
The three assassins exchanged looks before Rui Ya said they wanted 10 million won each.
"That is a conversation you are supposed to have with Bang Shi-hyuk," he said.
Hearing the older's name, Yoora's head whipped to Jaemin's form as she said, "We'll do it,"
The silence that followed as everyone processed Yoora's assent was so profound, you could hear a pin drop.
Just then, Yoora noticed Yuna standing beside Jaemin. She had initially thought that it was just a random girl from the police force but it wasn't.
"Yuna? Is that you?" she asked, reaching out to touch the girl's face. But Yuna moved away. She glared at Yoora. The older frowned.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
Yuna let out a mirthless laugh.
"You leave me on my own and run away with these two after Mum and Dad got murdered. Fine. But after all these years, you didn't bother to even contact me once." she said resentfully.
"What? I send you letters every month. I've been doing it ever since I left. I didn't know where you stayed, so I just sent it to the office. Who the fuck is the one controlling the mail in your department?" She asked angrily.
Jaemin gulped knowing that he would be the one targeted.
"It could possibly be the department head, Jinyoung, " Yuna said with wide eyes.
"Rui Ya do a background check as soon as you can on Jinyoung, Head of tracking," Yoora said as Rui Ya nodded.
Yuna's mind was spinning as she found out that her sister still cared about her. She had always felt unloved as Yoora was always busy, now she felt giddy that someone had actually put in an effort to show her care.
