Back to school. Back to normal.

Thanksgiving was coming up. That morning, at the YG Cafeteria, Jennie and Rosé were talking about the November break when Kai joined them.

"Good Morning, Jennie and Rosé," he greeted, flashing his pearly white teeth.

"Weren't you away?" Jennie wondered.

"Not yet," Kai answered, grinning.

Jennie and Rosé exchanged looks. They were waiting for Kai to ask Jennie out yet again, but it didn't come.

"What happened to you?" Jennie asked slowly, after a long silence. "You're–"

"You're wondering why I'm not asking you out?" Kai interrupted, with a raised eyebrow. "Why? Do you miss it? Just kidding!" he added quickly when Jennie made a face. "Well, I wanted to take things slow. I don't wanna rush things up anymore. I figured that if I'm gonna win your heart, I have to be the best that I can be. I wanna be the guy that you deserve, if you give me that chance."

Jennie was speechless. Those were the sincerest and sweetest words that was ever given to her by any person. She glanced at Rosé. Rosé looked like she was trying to read Kai's mind, but having a hard time doing it.

Was this the new Kai? If so, it looked like Jennie was going to have a hard time rejecting him again – and she might say 'Yes' if ever he asked her to go out this time.

Jisoo told Lisa what had happened in Australia. She even told Lisa what she was feeling for Rosé – at least, what she knew she was feeling for her. She wasn't sure about anything anymore, that it frustrated her.

Lisa listened to every word, without making interruptions or unnecessary facial expressions. She knew this day would come. It was only a matter of time before Jisoo and Rosé's best friendship turned into something else. She saw it coming all along.

When they walked in the YG Cafeteria, they saw Kai, sitting at their usual table with Rosé and Jennie.

"I hate that guy," Lisa murmured through gritted teeth. "Just seeing him makes my mood foul."

Jisoo abruptly stopped walking, almost making Lisa crash into her.

"Dude, are you," Jisoo paused, hesitating, "are you jealous?"

"Jealous of what?" Lisa queried, confused.

"Jealous of Kim."

"Why would I be jealous of Kim?" Lisa asked, with a raised eyebrow.

"Because he can admit to himself that he's falling for Jennie," Jisoo said, shrugging. "While you – I'm sure – are getting hints that you're starting to like her. You're just too stubborn to admit it. You're jealous of him because, unlike you, he can freely express his feelings."

Lisa blinked, then she burst out laughing. "Can you hear yourself, Chu? Me, starting to like Jennie? Seriously?"

"Yeah, you. Usually, you don't care about Kim. But the moment he started pursuing Jennie, was the moment you"– she poked Lisa's chest –"also started being pissed off at everything he does." She grinned. "So, you do like her."

"No offense, man," Lisa snorted, "but that's the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. Let's just eat." With that, she walked toward their usual table and grabbed a burger on her way.

"If you say so," Jisoo mumbled, as she caught up with Lisa.

They quietly joined Jennie, Rosé, and Kai. Nothing happened. Lisa kept her cool and calm mood as she saw Jennie, for the first time, interested to what Kai was saying.

Jisoo, on the other hand, was muffling her laughter. While Rosé was noticing Lisa's reactions and eventually learned what was the reason behind it.

When Kai left, Jennie stood up to get some more drinks. When she was out of hearing sight, Jisoo and Rosé burst out laughing. Actually, Lisa wasn't obvious that she was so much annoyed. However, knowing Lisa their whole lives, Jisoo and Rosé knew the reason why Lisa was acting that way.

"This is the first time I've seen you like this," Rosé told Lisa, grinning. She stood up, and said through her giggles, "I'm gonna help Jennie bring the drinks."

"Dude, you're busted. Don't even think about denying it," Jisoo added quickly when Lisa opened her mouth.

"I'm not the only one with love problems," Lisa muttered, looking away. She looked at Jisoo and saw that she was staring at Rosé. She sighed. "Look, why don't you just ask her out again?"

"It's not that easy," Jisoo answered, still staring at Rosé who was talking animatedly with Jennie. "Wait..." She frowned, recalling what Lisa said about love problems. She grinned broadly as she looked at Lisa. "Did you just admit it?"

Lisa cleared her throat. "Shut up," she said, frowning.
