Chapter 64 (Bonding With XAV)

Anastasia Rosaline Blade's POV

"Breath in. Breath out. Calm down Ana" I said to myself.

Ace was clearly on drugs or he was taking drugs.

That was how my stepfather was when he took drugs.

His eyes were red and dilated.

He heard noises that was not even there.

He would beat me for no reason.

Ace did all of that but beat me.

What if he suddenly changed like how my stepfather did and started to beat me?

My breath was coming in short pants.

My hands were trembling.

My heart pounding.

I slowly sank to the floor.

I don’t know how much time passed before I was able to get up and steady myself—it could have been 30 seconds or an hour.

I crawled from the floor to my bed.

I lied down on my bed, taking in deep breaths.

After lying down for a few hours, I realised that none of my brothers had check in on me or anything.

Usually every hour, one of my brothers would randomly check on me, see what I'm doing and ask if I am feeling hungry or need anything.

It was a daily thing. All of my brothers would check in on me.

It was now dinner time and I haven't heard a peek from any of my brothers.

I think they all went out.

I sent a message to the family group chat.

"Hey, where are you guys? Is no one home?" I sent.

Immediately Xander replied.

"Coming home with some dinner for you Ana. Fiona took the night off" He texted.

I replied with an 'okay'.

Then I received texts from Roman and Xavier.

"Held up at work. I'll be home late" Roman texted.

"Xander buy some food for me, Im starving" Xavier texted.

"Where's Ace?" I texted curiously.

Maybe he was busy taking more drugs, I thought to myself.

My heartbeat spiked up at my thinking.

"Idk"

"Not sure"

"🤷‍♂️"

My three youngest brothers replied.

Then Elijah texted.

"I'm busy at the hospital. Won't be home for a few days. I'm going to my friend's house. Ace should be home soon. He probably went out for work. Behave while im away you guys" Elijah texted.

"Ok" I replied.

The twins replied with "Okay" and a "👌🏻" emoji while, Roman blueticked Elijah.

I decided to do some Maths.

I was really tired after my panic attack and I felt like I could sleep for days.

But I was really weak in mathematics.

I needed to buck up, I don't want to disappoint my brothers.
