Chapter 20

Laney's POV

Nakarating na kami sa isang di malamang lugar. Sobrang dilim, ang tanging ilaw lang na nakikita namin ay ang maliit na bintana 3 feet above our head. Kasama ko naman sa kulungan ang pinsan kong si Belle.

"What the hell is this place?." Sabi ko.

"Practically the third word you said tsk. I shouldn't be here. Ano ba talagang ginawa mo?. Ba't tayo andito?." 

"Just like you di ko rin alam."

"Sabi kasi sayong may masamang balak yung daddy ng girlfriend mo eh, ayan ayaw mo kasi makinig."

"Pano ka naman nakakasigurong may kinalaman nga sya rito aber?."

"Obviously ayaw nya sayo for his daughter kaya andito tayo ngayon para dispatyahin. Wow, best summer of my life pala ha." Belle sarcastically said.

"No, Cole's dad is a good guy. There's no way--"

"At nagpauto ka naman?. Tsk. Malamang pinaplastik ka lang nun. Now both of us will be dead soon. Geez, pano ba ko napasok sa sitwasyong to?. Mommyyy.." 

"Pwede ba tumahimik kayo?! Ang ingay ingay nyo!." Sigaw ng isang terorista or guard. Idk I'm not sure.

Cole's POV

7pm.

Kumakain na kaming tatlo ni Coleen at Ate Abby dito sa restau sa baba ng hotel.

My parents got married the first year they met. Mom is a successful doctor in town while Dad is good at being a business man. It's their family business. Nagkakilala sila sa Hospital nung minsang inatake sa puso ang lolo ko, daddy ni Dad. Kakatapos lang daw ni Mommy nun sa operation nya bilang surgeon when dad saw her. Lolo has been in the hospital dahil na coma sya kaya palaging andun si Daddy to visit him. At the same time palagi nya naring nakikita si mommy. Hanggang sa naging friends sila and then later on got married. Sabi ni Dad nung bata pako is that medyo nahirapan daw syang kunin ang attention ni Mommy because ang ganda ganda nya bonus pa na matalino sya at magaling makisama sa mga tao na expected nang maraming magkakagusto sa kaniya. Sobrang dami nya dawng manliligaw nun, hindi lang mga basta bastang tao. Some are successful and rich men. But she rejected all of them and chose Dad. 

It took two years bago ako dumating sa mundo. She was 28 nung ipinanganak ako. So she's basically 45 years old now.

Mom said she had a hormonal problem back then pero nagawan din naman ng paraan. Same thing happened with my little brother Nick. Sabi nila it was a miracle that Nick survived dahil mom's pregnancy daw was a little risky for the both of them. I wonder what that means. 

Everything seemed so perfect back then until Nick's death. And now Mom's life could be possibly in danger. 

"Cole, hey--okay ka lang?." Nag-aalalang tanong ni Ate Abby. 

"Y-yeah. Actually Ate Abby, I wanna ask you about something and I hope you tell me the truth this time."

"Sure honey, what is it?."

"I saw a gun in your bag this morning. You're not possibly planning to--"

"Kill you?. Haha of course not. Why would I?."

"So para saan yun?. Bakit meron ka nun?."

"For self defense. My uh Dad actually wanted me to bring that kasi alam mo naman sa mga nagaganap ngayon hindi na ligtas lumabas unarmed. But don't worry lisensyado yun. Saka I had gun firing class when I was in college." 

"Hmm okay. Cool." sabi ko nalang at tuloy lang sa pagkain. Pero Coleen still looks suspicious to me. She's obviously hiding something. Pero ano bang dapat kong gawin para mabuko siya?. Kasi malamang di ko rin naman to mapapaamin kung tatanungin ko lang sya ng diretso. 

 Think Cole think.

Wait, I don't think that helps with the case at all. But come to think of it, pwedeng makatulong yun. This is not considered as pedophilia right? I mean halos kaedad ko lang naman sya. No, Cole that's such a terrible idea to begin with. That could mean that you're taking advantage of her because of her condition, or not because if she doesn't allow me that is definitely the sign that she's in her right mind and just pretending the whole time. Come on, it's just a kiss. It doesn't mean anything, I'm sure Laney won't mind. 

Of course, she doesn't need to know that. Geez, this sht is freaking me out. 

9pm. Tulog na sina Ate Abby sa bed habang nakaupo lang ako dito sa may terrace. Now what?.

"Hi Ate Cole." Napabalikwas nalang ako.

"Geez baby. Don't do that."

"Haha sowwy. Why are you stwill awake?." Ayan na naman sya sa innocent mode nya. Cole wag kang magpapadala, she's just bluffing. Tumabi sya sakin dito sa bench. 

"Well, I'm just thinking."

"'Bout what?."

"I don't know. About us I guess." Sabi ko as I stared at her eyes intently then down to her lips. I can see that it somehow made her feel uncomfortable.

"W-what about us Ate Cwole?." Lihis nya ng tingin. Sige lang Coleen dahil mahuhuli rin kita any minute now.

"Well, it's a secret that I don't tell kids." Pakipot ko.

"But I told you I'm not a kid anymore. I'm a big girl now."

"Really?."

"Wreally, wreally."

"So you know what big girls do?." Lapit ko ng mukha ko sa kanya.

Coleen's POV

Hormones calm down. Sht this is bad. Pinagpapawisan nako mula ulo hanggang talampakan. What the heck is she doing?. 

Puso kumalma ka. 

"W-what ay you talking about ate Cole? Hehe."

"You know what I mean. But I'm still gonna show it anyways--"

"Show what?."

"This." 

Wait, why on earth is she kissing me?. What the--am I seriously kissing her back?. This isn't a dream right?. Hmm I don't think this is a dream at all. But I've been wanting this for a little long time now so why not. I just hope this isn't a trap.
