after what seemed 30 minutes of talking, derek left the fire exit and went straight to jamie. "finally, i thought the both of you will never finish talking." jamie told derek.
"so, you bagged a date with her?" jamie sarcastically said.
"nope." derek said, popping the 'p' at the end.
"well, you better try harder." jamie said.
derek squinted his eyes at the girl. did she really just give me some love advice? he thought. "don't worry, i'll try harder next time." while the two were catching up on everything, jamie's phone quickly rang, a loud barbie girl ringtone was now on display, which earned some looks from the nurses and surgeons.
"i'm sorry!" jamie sheepishly whispered. quickly getting her flip phone, she saw that mark was calling her, the person who she's avoiding.
"who is it?" derek asked, getting suspicious because of jamie's reaction.
