another day, another shift. it was new day of saving lives at the seattle grace memorial hospital. jamie never got home because of an emergency surgery she had to do. the brunette slept in one of the on-call rooms. attendings here do hog the on-call rooms, she thought. after sleeping for almost three hours, she was already operating on a patient with meredith as her intern.
"you never got home last night." meredith asked jamie.
"i slept here." jamie said as she gave the scalpel back to the nurse. meredith didn't respond as she closed her eyes because of exhaustion.
"doctor grey, what was that?"
"sorry. my hand slipped." meredith said with panic in her eyes.
"it's fine, i'm done. you can release mrs. patterson's heart." jamie told the intern. "let's warm her up and get her off bypass." jamie said as she walked towards the scrub room.
up at the observation deck, george, cristina, and izzie were talking about a party happening at the grey's household later. "i wish i could hold the heart." george sighed.
