"i'm going on a tiny vacation." jamie whispers to derek as he sat between her and bailey. "two days max. i already told richard. luckily, i'm on his good side." bailey looked at her as she sipped her cold beer. she didn't know what to say. she only stared at the water pooling from the bottom of her bottle.
she took one hefty swig and looked at jamie. "you'll be back?" she said. in her mind, she didn't want to be alone with her interns. she thought, aside from her, jamie was the only one who could reprimand them.
"of course, i'll be back." jamie smiled as she hugged the small doctor. "besides, it's not even a vacation. i'm just going to new york to get my clothes from my apartment."
with the mention of new york, derek's ears perked up. "new york?" he asked.
"yeah, new york." she furrowed her brows at derek's tone. "you have a problem with that?"
"nope, nada, and zilch."
"don't worry, i'll send your greeting card to mark," she smirked.
