(Y/n) laid comfortably on her bed, enjoying the warmth of the sun through the window and how it lit up the room she was in. Her fingers delicately turning each page of her book, her eyes absorbing each word that was written. She's been reading for quite a while now, seeing that there was nothing else to do. But a person could only read for so long before they get tired. Shutting the novel close, (Y/n) sat up and stretched with a yawn, walking towards the wooden door. She tugged it open.
"Ah, it's so delightful to see you back home again my darlings!", she heard Molly say, the woman's voice echoing all the way from the entrance of the building.
(Y/n) perked up with confusion as her sleepiness cowered away, Back home? That's odd.
She thought, debating going back to the comfort of her room - until her nimble feet could no longer pretend to be uncurious. The girl hopped downstairs in excitement, eager to find out who the newcomers were. She passed the steps with ease and jogged by the kitchen, finally stopping behind the wall that separated the living room and the dining area. She didn't want to barge in or anything. So, her orbs silently peeked past the barrier, spotting three figures, one she could put a name to and the other two that were strangers.
Both outsiders were males with red hair - one boy having bright green eyes and freckles that adorned his entire face while the other had long locks with dark brown eyes. A cold look settling in them. He was much taller than the former boy as well. His jawline sharper, and his skin paler.
Based on their appearances and how they interacted, (Y/n) could tell they were family - leaving her to wonder if there were any more Weasleys she hasn't met yet. After a minute or two of contemplating, she slowly stepped out of her hiding spot. She walked into the room - thinking it's best if she introduced herself. She was living in their abode, after all.
It didn't take long for the small group to notice the female, no it didn't. The foreigners grew silent as soon as they saw her, shooting their mum a questioning look that got Molly confused before she turned around herself. The lady darted her eyes between her sons and the young Sylferth before quickly picking up on what she should be doing. "Oh! (Y/n), dear. Come here. I didn't expect you to meet them so soon but oh well, I'll introduce them to Harry later."
The woman shot her a reassuring smile before beckoning her over.
(Y/n) hesitatingly gave the trio a bow, "Hi. Hopefully, I'm not interrupting?"
The elder lady smiled, acknowledging her sudden shyness, "No, no - don't worry, you weren't intruding or anything! My sons have just came back from their foreign schools and I was simply too excited to have them back here. Right. Meet Bill, the oldest," she gestured towards the tallest boy. "And Charlie, the second oldest," now motioning towards the other sibling.
Charlie shyly smiled, raising a hand but Bill only nodded towards her, keeping quiet.
"Boys, meet (Y/n) Sylferth, she'll be staying here with us for a couple of weeks until her school term starts."
As soon as the word 'Sylferth' left their mum's lips, Charlie's eyes widened. Even Bill humming in surprise. The younger boy stepped forward, voice eager. "Sylferth? As in Edern Sylferth's successor?"
"Yeah," (Y/n) grinned, sheepishly rubbing the back of her neck. "Hopefully that's not a problem with you both. It's a pleasure to meet you."
At her words, Charlie spoke up with a shake of his head, "it's not a problem at all. It's nice to meet you too, (Y/n). I'm sure we'll all get along quite well."
Taking the chance to shake both of their hands in greetings, the girl swiftly observed their postures.
Upon studying them, (Y/n) noticed that both Charlie and Bill seemed to be quite shy. Leaning more towards weariness, actually. The way he carried himself told her so. His eyes boring holes into hers, studying her body language just as she did his. He didn't seem to like people much.
Charlie, however, looked like he might be quite a playful person - as if he was living his whole life without a single care in the world. His bright eyes and coy simpers indicating that he was a likeable person. But that was not all. He may not be as confident as he looked to be. The way he played with his hands giving it away.
Like the rest of them, the two brothers were keen on inspecting the girl's first impression as well. She was definitely younger than them both. Eyes lighting up with childish wonder and stance open, letting them know she was quite friendly. Easy to get along with even.
Charlie was never one to take immediate interest in a person but there was something more to her that he couldn't put a finger on. He was sure Bill knew that too, his slightly furrowed brows saying he was trying to pin it down. Well, the two of them just have to find out later, won't they?
Almost completely opposite personalities, (Y/n) thought - quickly reminding herself to talk to the males later, to get to know one another more. More friends the better, yes?
Molly started, unknowingly interrupting the girl's thought process, "Now now, you three can talk more to each other at dinner. For now, my darling boys - settle down. And don't forget! The same bedrooms as before! Turn left at the corridor and-"
"Yes, mum. We know. Thank you - it's great to be back," Charlie cheekily grinned as Bill shook his head with a quiet chuckle that he tried to hide with a cough.
"Why you cheeky little-"
"Mum! Hey! No! Ahaha- no- stop- ahahahaha- ouch that hurts-"
The Weasleys sure are a bunch of uplifting people. Looks like we'll get along just fine, (Y/n) smiled, deciding to back into her room.
