My eyes feel so heavy and puffy. My head feels as though it's about to explode and I don't think my eyes could possibly create anymore tears if I tried.

I don't know why but feel comfortable next to him. I can't really explain it but he just makes me feel as though everything is going to be okay.

His fingers continue kneading through my hair as I release soft puffs of air between my lips. "Thank you," I whisper and he glances down at me.

"Thea, you don't have to thank me. This is all my fault. I'm the reason this happened," he says and I shake my head, sitting up so that I can see him better.

"No, don't blame yourself. None if this is your fault." I assure him but he doesn't seem too convinced. "Rio," I press as I subconsciously place my hand over his. Once I realise what I've done, I quickly remove it and look away from him.

He takes his phone out from his pocket and scrolls through his contact list. "What are you doing?" I ask, wondering who he could possibly be contacting.

"I'm texting one of my guys to come and pick it up and take it to their garage," he says and I widen my eyes in panic.

A stray tear falls down my face and I reach my hand up to wipe it away. "No, it won't be ready in time and I need to go home tonight," I explain and he places his large hand on the back of my head comfortingly.

"Hey, calm down. It will be done by tonight." He assures and I furrow my brows, wondering how it could possibly be fixed in a few hours.

"Well, what am I supposed to do until then?" I ask worriedly and he glances up at Kayin before returning his attention back to me.

"Come to my place. I'll cook some dinner and we can wait there until the car is ready." He suggests and I arch a brow, confused by how one minute he doesn't want to be near me and the next, he wants me to go to his house.

My house is strangely quiet now that Myla has gone back home and I don't really like being there without her now. What would she tell me to do if she were here?

Ha, who am I kidding? I know damn well what she would be telling, no, yelling at me to do.

"Okay," I say before I realise the words have left my lips.

He nods faintly and stands up, extending his hand for me to take. The cool metal from the rings on his fingers connect with my skin and I glance down at them, wondering if they hold any sentimental value to him or not.

I follow Rio as we head towards the kitchen where Sienna and Kayin are. "We're going," he announces and they both look up. "Josiah is coming to get the car soon." He adds and throws him my keys. "Call me if there's any problems."
