Mike woke up on his birthday, so excited. He was literally counting down the moments until he could hand in his resignation.

He still wanted to be a cardiologist but he was a dancer. It was time to prove it.

Tina was so proud of herself. Her sisters-in-law helped her plan a great party and the best part was Mike had no idea about it.

Mike walked into the house, whistling. He was coming home for his ice cream party but as he went to go to the den, everyone surprised him in the living room.

Tina ran to him. "Were you surprised?!"

"Yeah." He couldn't believe all these people got the drop on him.

"Are you mad?"

A smile curved his lips. "Nope."

"Yay!" She twirled around him.

"I hear great music."

She popped up in front of him. "Want to dance?"

Before she even finished asking, he was twirling her again.

Marcy blew her nose. She had her seasonal cold and unfortunately was in California with it. It sucked to have the chills in 90° weather.

Mal felt her warm forehead before taking her hand. "Let's get you out the sun before you have a sunstroke."

That's just what I need! She mentally groused.

They went inside the realtor office.

A man with shiny hair and shinier teeth walked up to them. "Welcome to Combs Realty. What can I do for you?"

Wish

"I like the architecture but it's so small." Marcy walked around the great room.

The realter, Max Greenside gave a confused look. "Are you sure?"

"Yes. We have a lot of children and I'm pregnant. Plus we have a lot of staff. Who owns the homes nearby?"

He stammered out, "No one on either side."

"We'll buy them."

Mal frowned. "What are you thinking?"

"We can combine them into one large house so the staff can have their part, kids can have their part and guests can have their part while we still have our own place."

Mal nodded. "That's a good idea. And we'll get everything we want."

Max gulped at the commission if they were serious. "These three lots would be over ten acres."

"Good. Space for the kids to roam around." Marcy nodded. "We can have creeks and brooks, trees and patches. I'm a big nature freak so all of this would be good. And we can build underground for a carport and have a large enough pool. It'll be lovely. How soon can we close?"

"So with everything in the homes included-"

"Actually we don't want any of the furniture. I'm not fond of other people's things if I can't choose it and it's actually not my style at all. Plus the dimensions will be off since we're remodeling." Marcy cut Max off.

Max didn't know what to say other than, "Got any family looking to buy?"

"Yes."

Max's face cracked as Mal laughed.
