You awoke to a splitting headache, and strong arms wrapping around you, holding you tightly. For a moment, you let yourself feel safe in someone else's arms and nuzzled your head against the stranger's chest, hearing him groan softly. And that's when you realized this was real.

"Good morning, songbird."

Oh hell no.

Pulling out of his grip, you sat straight up, your eyes snapping open. And there beneath the covers, he laid. Your boss, Hawks. Wearing nothing but boxers, while you weren't even wearing pants.

Oh god, what did you do? What did you do?? Feeling panic rush through your mind, you fell backward off the bed, landing right on your ass.

"You okay there, birdie?" The pro hero asked, looking down at you with concern. Taking a deep breath, you slowed your breathing, trying to remember what happened last night.

You remember going to the bar with him and making small talk, then seeing your ex-boyfriend. That was when you made the stupid decision to let yourself get all drunk and vulnerable. The last thing you remember was him flying you home.

The possibility of sleeping with him came into mind, making your stomach churn. It was already inappropriate enough that you kissed him and took him back to your place. But if you slept with him, that would be a whole new set of problems, including you probably losing your job.

"(Y/n)? (Y/n)? Are you alright? You've been really quiet and I've been calling your name for at least five minutes." Why was he acting so casual about this? Had he slept with one of his employees before? You wouldn't be surprised if he did.

"What happened last night?" You finally answered him.

"Well, you got pretty wasted and kissed me at the bar, and then I took you home to help you sober up. You invited me in, and we kissed again for a bit. After that, you said you didn't want me to be alone and asked me to stay with you, so I did." He explained, causing vague memories of last night to reappear in your mind. Except for that last part. You don't remember asking him to stay with you, but you were sure it happened, considering how desperate you were.

You let out a small sigh of relief, feeling a little better about the whole situation. At least you didn't have sex with him. "Hawks, you're my boss and this was completely unprofessional, and it can't happen again. Can you please go?"

"What? But you kissed me. You're the one who wanted this." He told you, his smile disappearing.

"I know what I did. And the only way to make things right is if we had some space. So I'm sorry, but please leave." You replied, refusing to look at him and holding your elbows.

With a frustrated huff, he got to his feet, walking past you and changing back into his clothes. You tried to avert your gaze, but you couldn't help but let your eyes wander down his muscular back, staring at his hypnotic crimson wings. They were spread, and a little ruffled, the feathers dispersing when he put on his jacket.

Sliding his goggles onto his face, he turned away, going to leave through your back door. Before he grabbed the knob, he looked over his shoulder, glancing at you. "Oh, and, don't bother going into work. You have the day off."

Despite his actions being kind, you couldn't help but find his words menacing. Especially that look he gave you. It sent shivers down your spine.

You watched as he flew away, and once he was out of sight, you took a shower, cleaning off your hangover. The water was nice and hot against your skin, helping you relax. Sighing softly, you ran your fingers through your hair, cleaning it with shampoo.

Once you got out of the shower, you slipped on a robe and drank some coffee, laying back on your bed, finally having some time to relax. Of course, that was interrupted by your phone ringing. It was Sau, so you knew to pick up.

"Hello?" You asked, rubbing your temples.

"(Y/n)? Do you have any coffee or anything fragilein your hand? Because it would be best if you put it down right now." She told you.

"Um, okay why?" You set down the mug on the nightstand beside you.

"...Just turn on the tv." Doing as told, you walked over to the living room, switching on the tv and sitting on the couch.

"After a video of Number Two Pro Hero Hawks  kissing a stranger at a bar last night went viral and was taken down, many are wondering if the winged hero is in a relationship."

You felt your heart sink and your mouth go dry. Someone recorded that? Of course, they did. The man's a fucking celebrity. You were so fired.

"I have to go." You mumbled, ending the call. You ran a hand through your hair, trying to think of what you were going to do to get yourself out of this mess.

Then, the tv switched to an interview with Hawks pulling you from your thoughts. He was being fleeted by reporters, all hounding him with questions.

"I don't know why everyone seems so interested all of a sudden, but no. I am not dating anyone at this time." He answered one of the reporters.

"Hawks, some are saying that this person you were kissing was your new PA. Is this true?"

He looked at the camera with a small smirk on his face. "I'm not going to say anything about their identity to the public. Sorry, it's a secret."

Then, he brought his gloved hand up, waving off the microphones and cameras. "No further questions. Thank you."

Clenching your jaw, you turned off the tv. That interview surely didn't help anything.

It's no big deal. Surely some villain drama will happen and this whole thing will be over with, right?

Fuck, what am I going to do?
