A couple more days have passed since we went to the police station. It's been a busy week, trying to get the details ready for the trial that was tomorrow.

I wasn't looking forward to going but all of my friends were going to be there with me. They were all so supportive all the time.

I really appreciated them.

Today I had to go to therapy to get myself prepared for tomorrow. It was going to be extremely difficult to see Peter, so I had to have some sort of plan to not absolutely lose it.

"Do you really think it's a good idea that I go tomorrow?" I asked Colby as we drove to the therapy  appointment. "I think it will be good for you to have some closure. It's gonna be hard in the moment but once it's over I feel like you'll feel better about all of this." Colby said and held my hand.

"Why do you always have to be right?" I huffed out. "Because I'm your extremely smart and sexy boyfriend who knows you better than you know yourself." He said as I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I said as he pulled into the parking lot.

When we got inside we were greeted by the receptionist. "Hey Violet! Hey Colby! You can go on back, Sarah is waiting for you." She said with a wide smile. "Thanks Amanda." I said as Colby led the way to the back.

"Come in!" Sarah called out after Colby knocked on the door. "Hey." I said with a small smile as we walked into the room, sitting on the couch across from the older blonde.

"How are you feeling today?" She asked and grabbed my chart. "I'm really nervous for tomorrow." I said and twisted my rings. "I know, but you've got a big support system behind you. We're gonna make sure you get through this, right Colby?" She asked as he nodded and grabbed my hand.

"No matter what, I'm right here by your side." He said quietly. "I just don't want to see him. I don't want it to bring back any suppressed emotions." I said as Sarah nodded.

"That's a valid reason to me nervous. Whatever happens though, we'll be able to help you through. Seeing him tomorrow I'll give you a little bit of closure since you won't be seeing him anymore." Sarah explained.

"What if they don't sentence him?" I asked as Sarah frowned. "Don't worry about that, just focus on getting through tomorrow." She said as Colby squeezed my hand.

"Do you think I should make a statement?" I asked quietly. "Did you want to?" Sarah asked as I shrugged. "I don't know. I want him to get the longest sentence possible." I said and chewed on my cheek.

"Why are you afraid to make a statement?" Sarah asked quietly. "Um...I don't want to look him in the eye. I don't want him to look at me or talk to me." I said and looked down at my hands.

"I don't want to find out that we are married. I don't want to be married to anyone but Colby. I'm so scared." I whispered as Colby rubbed my back gently.

"I know it's scary and I know you're going to have a hard time tomorrow but you don't have to do anything you don't want to do." Sarah said gently as I wiped the tears from my cheeks.

"I know...but what should I do?" I asked and looked up at her. "I think it might be good to make a statement. It will solidify that you did everything in your power to get him the worst sentence possible." She said as I nodded.

"That makes sense." I said as Colby leaned over and kissed my head. "No matter what happens you're gonna get through it. You're a badass, V. Don't forget it." He said as I nodded.

We ended up talking about other things for the rest of my appointment, like how I would handle seeing Peter and what I would say in my statement.

I felt a little better about the whole thing after the appointment. I wasn't looking forward to tomorrow but I at least had the confidence to think I could do it now.

When we got to the car I let out a deep breath and closed my eyes. "You okay?" Colby asked as I nodded. "Yeah, it's just a lot. I'll be okay." I said then opened my eyes and looked over at him.

Colby looked at me with so much admiration and love that I could feel my heart swelling in my chest. "What?" I asked softly with a laugh. "I'm just so proud of you." He said then leaned over and kissed me. I smiled against his lips then cupped his cheek.

"I could do all of this without you." I said quietly as he shook his head. "I don't believe that for a second. You've been through so much but no matter what you keep your head up." He said as I shook my head.

"I'm being honest. I wouldn't have gotten through this without you. I'm serious." I said as he brushed my hair back from my face. "I love you, you know that?" He asked as I nodded. "I do. I love you right back." I said then scrunched my nose at him.

"Whatever, dork. Let me take you to dinner." Colby said causing me to laugh. "Oooo I get dinner?" I asked as he nodded. "Only today." He said then started the car.

When we got to the restaurant I looked over at Colby. "Where are we?" He asked as I shrugged. "You'll see." He said then got out. I chuckled then got out as I looked at the building.

When we walked inside I could see sushi chefs and hibachi chefs working. "Table for two?" The hostess asked as Colby nodded. "Yep." He said then wrapped his arm around my waist.

The hostess led us to a table then grabbed our drink order. "What's the occasion?" I asked with a laugh. "No occasion, just proud of you." He said as I shook my head.

"I haven't really done anything yet." I said and brushed my hair behind my ears. "You have no idea how much you've improved. You've done so much, V. I know tomorrow is scary but you're gonna do great, I'm already proud of you for tomorrow. You're gonna come out of it stronger than ever." He said then took my hand.

"You're too nice to me." I said with a laugh as the chef came over to take our orders. Once we ordered our food Colby grinned at me. "I'm not too nice to you, V. You just don't give yourself enough credit." He said as I shrugged.

"Neither do you." I retorted as he laughed. "This isn't about me." He said as the chef came back with our sushi.

Colby and I ate dinner which was absolutely delicious then went home. When we got there Ki, Kat, and Devyn were filming a video in the living room.

"V! Come here!" Ki called out as I shook my head. "I don't want to be on camera." I said and stopped in the foyer. "We'll turn it off." Ki said then turned the camera off.

"How'd your appointment go?" Kat asked then turned to me. "It went well...I'm speaking at the trial tomorrow." I said as Ki frowned. "Why a change of mind?" She asked as I shrugged.

"I want him to be sentenced to death." I said as Devyn sighed. "Are you gonna be okay though? Seeing him?" She asked as I chewed my lip.

"I'm not sure...I have to see him anyways though so I might as well try to get him a longer sentence." I said as Colby went to the kitchen. "You're a badass, V. You can do this...I may kick his ass though." Ki said as I nodded.

"I give you full permission." I said then looked at the camera. "Sorry for making you guys stop." I said as Ki shook her head. "Don't apologize, you're good." She said with a smile.

"I'm gonna head to bed though...tomorrow's a big day." I said as they all nodded. "Yeah, we're leaving at 8 right?" Kat said as I nodded. "Yeah, the trial starts at 9." I said then smiled at them and left the room.

I went to my room and got changed before Colby came in with two glasses of water. "Going to bed already?" He asked as I nodded. "Yeah, I have a feeling I'm not gonna be able to sleep..so I might as well start earlier." I said then crawled into bed.

"I'll lay with you." Colby said then got in bed, wrapping his arms around me. "I'm nervous." I whispered and rested my head on his chest. "I know, baby. You're gonna be okay though. I'll be right there with you." He said then kissed my head and held me closer.

I nodded then closed my eyes, trying to fall asleep. I knew I probably wouldn't sleep at all but I was going to try.

I was scared to death though.
