Description:Basically, Julie is the town girl with Carrie as a step sister and Luke is the prince. Alex and Flynn are Julie's best friends and Reggie is Luke's best friend.

JULIE'S POV
"Jules! Are you even listening to me?" Flynn asks as we walk into school.
"Hm? Sorry, my mind was drifting."
"That's the third time today! Are you okay?" She asks, stopping in her tracks.
"Actually, she's been doing it all week." Alex says, coming up beside us. "She just totally started zoning out in class the other day when I was talking to her." Flynn turns to me.
"Jules, what's on your mind? You know you can always talk to us!"
"I know. It's just Carrie, as usual."
"That witch?" Flynn gestures to my stepsister, who is sitting with her friends across the courtyard.
"Yeah, her."
"Why do you even waste your time on her anyway?" Alex asks. I roll my eyes.
"I have to. She's my stepsister. I kind of have to care for her. I can't legally move out yet so I have to put up with her and my stepmother until I turn 18 in a few months." I reply. I see Carrie glaring at me from across the courtyard. She blinks and bats her eyelashes.
"Oh Julie!" Her squealing voice calls. I roll my eyes and ignore her. "Julie, I have good news for you! You have another dress to iron tonight!" I sigh and keep walking.
"Seriously Jules? She makes you iron her clothes?" Flynn exclaims. Alex takes my hands in his gently.
"Jules, you know I love you and that I want the best for you right?" I nod. "Then you need to get out of that house as fast as you can. Come stay with us for a bit." We stop outside my classroom door.
