After pulling Mars out so that I could hear him and technically translate for him, it took hours and hours of repeating and negotiating about what they could and couldn't do, the Queen was the one who seemed to understand what we wanted from them. They took that information and flew off to the atmosphere to stage a world meeting with, well, the world. We (Grand Marquis) was granted immunity from everything since we were epicenter of the original experiment. It was a contract that the Elbaskins had with our city and no one else, but no one else could know about it. After all, we were being 'exempt' from a weird fate for the rest of the world.

Kasai was able to come home with my parents and I about three days after he woke up and we had a lot of catching up to do. It was a little hard to talk to him for a bit because I wasn't sure how to talk to him. He was my kid but his aging made things just a little awkward. Did I talk to him like an adult? Did I talk to him like a kid? I think we were able to break the ice a little better when Dawaen came over with five baby carriers and Dr. Market behind him. He filled in a few things between us. After that, things were easy and Kasai even introduced me to his little sister, Tereina. She was sweet and seemed almost as happy to meet me as Kasai did. He explained how much he had talked about me to her. I guess having another kid wasn't too bad.

For months and months on end, no matter when you turned on the TV, it seemed like the negotiations in what the world called Elbaskins vs. Earth was on. Every news channel and every time you went on the Internet. The world was in a constant state of chaos trying to figure out what would be worse: world slavery or volunteering their young men to be impregnated by aliens in order to repopulate their species.

Mars' body had gone through so much trauma due to what happened with Olympus that he was still unconscious. Olympus grew quickly like Kasai but at a little bit of a slower rate; so in the past few months, he looked like he was about five or six, not completely grown. He was still quite intelligent for his age though and we were still concerned about what would happen. Mrs. Holt took Olympus to see Mars almost every day while Agent Holt made sure that he had round the clock care. They're still working things out, Mrs. Holt and her husband. Sometimes I'd be up there talking with Mars and Olympus always tried to see if he could hear but to no avail. Zylith was working with Agent Holt to try and get Mars out of the coma, but I have a bad feeling that it won't be that easy.

Dawaen was a lot nicer now and after his kids didn't need to be toted around anymore, he started back to school around the same time I did. He lived with Dr. Market now, who had semi-adopted him by taking him under her wing. Mr. Cyrio didn't seem like he was upset about that fact and paid Dr. Market something kind of like child support of his own free will. Dawaen said it was the nicest thing his dad had ever done for him. Dawaen hung out with me most of the time and made sure that no one bullied me in school anymore. Since we had been gone two years, the freshmen and sophomores that were younger than us were now in the same grade as us. They remembered Dawaen from when they were younger and they had heard about me, so it was a little awkward. Some of them would try to bring up being pregnant but Dawaen shut them down pretty quickly, telling them that we saved them and such. After that, we were left pretty much alone.

Dawaen still couldn't get over looking like he was a tough guy, but if anyone saw him with his daughter, they'd tell you a different story. For a while he had staunchly refused to keep any of his children, but after a while of trying to get a girlfriend, Dawaen realized that he may not ever get girlfriend and start a family. We were shunned by our own race for what we had done and so Dawaen decided to keep Destin, his first daughter. I told him that he could probably find an Elbaskin woman to love him but he just pushed me down and told me to fuck off.

Kole could never be set free from A972. He was always overtaking his brain every time they tried to let Kole out of solitary confinement. I debated seeing Kole, but one day he called out to me. His mind was fractured between how he used to be with memories of our friendship and his amnesia. It was sad, really, and I ended up actually feeling sorry for him instead of angry. A972 was really fucking with his mind and he kind of needed a friend. I was the only one who went to visit him regularly; Dawaen couldn't face him after knowing he had played him so badly and Ms. Sprint wasn't exactly the 'motherly' type. She was almost as bad as Mr. Cyrio and signed over her rights so that the Elbaskins could keep an eye on him and she was free of him.

Most of the time, as long as he was in a special room they had built, Kole was normal. He still had memory issues and he knew there was something wrong with him, but we mostly just talked and played games and such. We never knew when A972 would take over his brain, though. From what I heard, they updated the system of the Dream Room, leaving A972 behind so the speak, and isolated him to only be able to come out in Kole or to be in a tiny "room" in the program. It was hard to understand, but he was contained and couldn't hurt anyone else. They were working on a way to cut his ties to Kole's mind but it was proving difficult.

Zylith and I started dating officially about five months after everything settled down. She stopped going to school and finally had to tell the real Zylith's parents about what had happened to their daughter. She said it was much harder than she thought it would be and they were very confused. She assured them that there was a part of her that loved them just like their daughter but she was just something a little bit more. She dropped out of school since she was technically a nurse/doctor already as an Elbaskin. She worked around the clock at the government facility they had taken over, where Kole and Mars were being kept. She also worked with Kole's daughter, whom he named Parker, since he was technically unfit to raise her. Zylith could tell she was going to be a little different than the rest. Eventually, she ended up going back on the Elbaskin ship to be taught their ways.

When Dawaen found out Zylith and I were dating, he didn't talk to me for a while (since he had been in love with her) but after a while he got over it and used her as a source of information on his other kids who were also on the Elbaskin ship.

I eventually told my parents about my cutting and the time I tried to kill myself at the tree house. It was an out of the blue conversation and I showed them my scars. Mom was very upset and Dad was furious with himself for not noticing how depressed I was back then. I told them that I was much better now after everything I had been through and also talking with Dr. Armiallo. I realized how wrong I was and how much I really wanted to live, how lucky I was to have parents like them, and how stupid I was to have ever thought otherwise. Realizing how much they had truly loved me erased all the doubts and misconceptions that I had had about them. I was just tired of holding the secrets from them and to be honest, if they had known about my scars, things may not have gone so crazy in the first place.

Talking with Dr. Armiallo was helping a lot. I have to give it to Mars about going through with it. I still have sessions with her every week but she said she may start cutting back on them and I will only have to come every two weeks, which was a good thing. It meant that I was improving. I still had nightmares and times where I couldn't tell if I was in a dream or reality, so I had to keep up the sessions.

**********************

Almost a year has gone by since I was able to truly come back home. The world is still trying to figure out where they stand with the Elbaskins but for me, my life was pretty normal... well... except for one thing...
