Chapter Fifty Six

The couple had spent the day out roaming the city, going to places they'd never been before. Even though they'd lived in Seoul for a while, they had both been busy and at the weekends the most they'd do ,if they weren't in a lazy mood, is go to the mall maybe but never anything else as they didn't have the time or extra money for activities. However, now, Jungkook starting to make earnings from his job and Yoongi's parents had heard about their situation lending them a hand.

Yoongi had fought long with them refusing to accept the money they were paying into his account but they ignored his stubbornness and would give him monthly payments. They knew even though Jungkook had lost his job, the man was a good guy. They'd only met him a few times but saw potential and protection over their son with him so hearing his job situation, they weren't angry with him and understood sometimes things don't go to plan. Yoongi comes from a decent background. No, his parents aren't rich like Taehyung's but they're not poor. They have an average income leaning more towards the higher side. When yoongi was younger, the family had gone on many holidays together with their extra money but now Yoongi was older and his parents aren't as young as before, they don't spend money on expensive holidays and instead just have many savings. It's not like they have anything they want to spend it on so why waste money, plus, all they have at the end will go to their son in their will anyway and they want Yoongi to get the best from them. They'd always been a close family clearly.

Anyways, back to the date then. Now they had money to spare, Jungkook takes him all over the city. Museums, aquariums, the cinema etc. They just get through as much as they can not wanting the day to end. Now, present time, the two are sat on the beach watching the sun set.

Yoongi looks over at Jungkook watching the waves lap against the sand. The slight seaside breeze gently blows his hair in front of his face then out of the way again ever so slightly. Yoongi notices small things he hadn't before, a mole on his cheek and ear, he'd also changed his normal ring ear ring to a small stud piercing, well a few trailing up his ear. Yoongi can't help but smile and turns to face the sea too. Other couples, friends and families were gathered on the beach too but Yoongi couldn't help but feel the luckiest out of all the partners there. Jungkook had driven far from their apartment insisting they go to the nicest beach in the area for the sunset. He'd also payed for everything today with his own earnings even though Yoongi had tried to push him away and offer his own wallet but every time, he'd get cut off by a kiss from the older.

It amazes the two of them how well of a couple they have been and are. Since high school, 6 years ago, and from a silly bet too. Even when they'd first gotten in the relationship, as much as they liked each other, don't get me wrong, they both couldn't help but feel like it would be another of those middle school relationships that end after 2 years at the most and after they go to study, they never hear from each other again. Let's be realistic, isn't that how most of them end? Very few high school sweethearts stay for life and they're extremely lucky to find their significant other at such a young age.

It had all been the same for Yoongi and Jungkook. It even surprises them how far they'd come. For starters, making it to the point Jungkook left school still as a strong couple, was already surprising. Then the next step of managing to keep the relationship during Yoongi's first year as if nothing had changed was the next big surprising thing. Finally moving in and living together almost like a married couple? It is shocking but from around their 4th to 5th year anniversary, the two had sort of realised this is it. This is how they will spend the rest of their lives, this is WHO they will spend the rest of their lives with. It can't just be luck but must be fate as sappy as it sounds. How else could they make it this far still? The two sat in silence similarly shared the same kind of thoughts: grateful to be here with the other, happy to be here with the other and just so in love really. What can I say?

Yoongi leans his head on Jungkook's shoulder who looks down at him lightly and smiles. As the sun sets, the beach falls quiet, just the sound of the waves gently as all the spectators watched in awe at the views. The water is clear and we talking clear as in clearer than BTS's skin kind of clear-

You can see an exact replica of the sky and sun setting on the waves, mimicking a mirror. Yoongi stares, mouth wide open causing Jungkook to chuckle when he checks up on him every now and then. He wraps and arm round Yoongi's shoulder pulling him into his side a bit more, the chilly breeze getting colder as the evening progresses. Yoongi makes sure to inhale that familiar cologne and feels at peace and content. Once the sun is set and the sky turns its usual dark night colour, the people begin to pack up and head off home. Jungkook notices and nudges Yoongi but stops when he hears gentle snoring. No wonder he felt a heavier weight on his shoulder than before. The other had passed out tired from the long day and is finally taking his cat nap. Jungkook smiles and gently pulls him up to get him on his back. Yoongi opens his eyes sleeping and understands what's going on. He's far too tired to actively wake up but helps jungkook by slinging his arms around his neck messily, letting jungkook do the rest. Once they get to the car, jungkook straps him into the seat and does his belt for him, he chuckles thinking of how similar it looked to as if he were strapping in a..child. Child. Kids. Would him and Yoongi ever have kids? Well not like you know HAVE, have kids, (in a realistic world folks) but adopt? Or they could have a biological child through a long process of labs and God knows. Jungkook keeps this on his mind as he drives carefully trying not to wake the boy up. (Wrote that thinking of Tear in my Heart by twenty one pilots, sorry) He's still young, only 23 and yoongi only 21, they've still got a lot of time before doing anything about kids but it's never to early to start thinking. Ah well, let's just get home for now jungkook thinks and smiles looking over at his sleeping boyfriend. This is the life.
