A rude angel, but an angel nonetheless

Choi Han didn't know when, where, or how he had learned to flirt, but it was a pretty good skill to have. If he could control it, of course.

Choi Han could almost feel his face getting heated up with a blush, but all he could do was cover his face after hearing himself basically ask Cale to kiss him. But what embarassed him up even more was how Cale had responded.

'No matter how long it takes, I always keep my word, you know?'

W-what does Cale-nim mean? Choi Han had an idea of what Cale meant, but he didn't dare hope for it to be true. Just being by his side is making me so happy, and even getting to hold his hand is a gift in itself. Choi Han answered with his head in his hands as he thought about the time Cale had held his hand and gave him an affectionate smile, as if to tell Choi Han to let his feelings out freely.

"I-I look forward to it, Cale-nim. Very much." He couldn't stop himself from saying the last part, and he nudged his head into the crook of his arm even lower. Choi Han heard a soft laughter then. "My God, you have a comeback even while burying your head down like a gopher?" Cale was chuckling at how cute it was to see Choi Han so shy. But not shy enough to not flirt. He wanted to tease him just a little more.

"Well, I don't mind seeing you like this. Gophers are quite endearing, after all." Cale stretched his arm out to ruffle Choi Han's hair. "And soft too." Cale saw Choi Han lift his head slightly up to stare at Cale with wide eyes, and an even redder face. But before he could say anything...

"Your food is ready!" The woman had come back with their food on a cart, and all coherent thoughts were gone when Cale and Choi Han smelt the fragrance from the cart.

Cale was already looking forward to his steak, and looked up to see Choi Han's eyes sparkling along with his drooling mouth. Cale let out a small pfft, which made Choi Han snap out of his stupor and quickly use his sleeve to clean the side of his mouth with a cute expression on his face.

When everything was set on the table, the two had to stop and stare for a moment in amazement. The different types of steaks were all aligned like a piece of art, and the different fragrance of the side dishes made both their stomachs rumble.

The waitress lightly tapped against the jug of lemonade to get their attention, and made a gesture with her hands to show that they can also get refreshments other than water. Then, she finally said "Here is your meal, gentlemen. Please enjoy the food, and take your time at our Sapphire Steakhouse!" before walking away as if to let the lovebirds enjoy their date peacefully.

Choi Han didn't know he was so hungry until he got a whiff of all the food. He wanted to be patient and look... cool to Cale, as if not eating when he is hungry would somehow impress him. Choi Han bit his lip lightly, but then heard what sounded like a voice if an angel. "Don't just stare at it, let's eat."

Quite a rude angel, but an angel nonetheless. Choi Han swiftly picked up a piece of steak into his plate and a heaping of salad, before biting into the uncut steak with a loud and happy 'om!' He continued like this for a while, eating and eating the steak without stopping at all when he realized how undignified he must seem, and that his face must be a mess.

He gulped down a piece of steak and looked around the table for a napkin, but then felt something soft on his cheek. Choi Han's eyes met Cale's before he closed one of it shut as Cale wiped his left cheek with a napkin gently. "You're eating like a little kid, just look at your messy face. How did you get sauce on your nose, anyway?" Though his words sounded like he was telling him off, Choi Han could hear the smile in Cale's voice.

Choi Han grinned and was about to thank him when something  appeared in front of him. He saw a pale hand holding a cut piece of steak and, by instinct, bit onto the fork. Choi Han felt a sense of deja vu while chewing on the piece of meat in his mouth, the fork clinking in his mouth. "Wa awaou oo, Cay-ni?" (What about you, Cale-nim?)

Cale couldn't help wanting to feed Choi Han more when he saw the familiar scene of him eating from his spoon/fork, and the way Choi Han called out to him with his cheeks full didn't help either, but a sudden growling made him remember that he also needed to eat too.

Reluctantly, Cale pulled the fork out of Choi Han's mouth that had been continuously chewing, and a translucent line slowly stretched between Choi Han's lips and the fork before Cale quickly put the fork down on his own plate.

Cale didn't need a mirror to know that his face was burning bright red. He tried to calm down by eating something to take his mind off of the image that stuck itself into his brain. "U-uh, C-Cale-nim?"

Cale raised his head up to see Choi Han's face that looked equally as red as his own. He finally noticed that the fork that he was using had not been wiped yet, and realized the reason why the bite had been so wet. Cale felt ready to spontaneously combust into thin air right then and there.

Hello, Jelly here! Apologies for the late chapter, my mind has been pretty tired lately and my motivation to write keeps getting thrown out the window. But don't worry, I am back on schedule now and will (try to) write a longer chapter tomorrow. Thank you for reading, and have a good rest of your day!
Lectores que utilizan un traductor, ¡gracias por leer! (I'm also using a translator to read/write spanish haha)
