Chaeyoung
I was on my way out of the school premises, feeling a little excited, when my phone buzzed. The corners of my mouth raised when I read the message.
From: Sehun
Let's just meet at the café nearby the park.
I immediately composed a message and sent it to him.
To: Sehun
Alright. See you!
I giggled a bit when something crossed my mind.
"What do you think of Kai?"
My eyebrows met as I turned my head at him.
"Kai? Why?" I asked. He averted his eyes and shrugged before casually putting his hands inside his pockets. Even though I'm feeling a little confused, I still gave him an answer.
"I think he's a nice guy."
"Oh.." I muttered when I saw a white fat cat ran behind a big tree. I immediately walked towards the tree and a gasp escaped my lips when I found the cat playing with another cat. Sehun stood beside me and watched the cats too.
"I didn't know there are cats in the campus." I said excitedly.
"I think he likes you." I quickly looked at him in surprise.
"How did you say so? He hasn't even seen me yet."
He huffed. "I'm talking about Kai."
"Ah," I chuckled. "Kai doesn't like me, Sehun."
He lifted a brow. "What if he likes you? What are you going to do?" He asked that made me sigh a bit.
Why is he talking about something like this with his girlfriend?
I brought my attention back to the cats.
"Why do I think you're expecting me to like him?"
"Of course not." He said instantly. He sighed a bit before walking closer to the cats. When he bent down, the cats stopped when they noticed him. A smile gradually appeared on my lips when he extended his arm and petted the white cat's head. I walked closer to them before bending down and petting the other cat's head.
"By the way, can you give me your number? I already have your friends' number and I still don't have yours..." he said while his eyes are fixed on the cats.
"Sure."
"I can't believe I'm-"
"Chaeyoung."
I lifted my gaze and saw Minseok and Kai. I just walked past the gate while the two are about to head inside. I greeted them with a smile.
"Are you going somewhere?" Minseok smiled.
"Ah, yes."
"Sehun went to their house. His parents called him to have a family lunch." My eyes drifted on Kai when he spoke. Suddenly, I was reminded of what Sehun and I talked about that day.
"I see.."
"We'll go now, Chaeyoung. Take care." Minseok told me. I nodded with a smile. Kai gave me a smile before they both went inside. After almost an hour, I finally got inside the café where Sehun and I agreed to meet. I immediately saw him at the corner so I went to him. I sat across him that made him look up at me.
"Did you wait long?"
"No." He answered shortly.
"I heard from Kai that you had lunch with your parents." I said with a small smile on my lips. He looked away and sighed before nodding a bit. I stared at him when I realized he may not be in the mood right now.
His face is impassive and he's too quiet. Something must've happened earlier..
"Should we go out some other time? Do you need a rest?" I asked worriedly. He brought his eyes back to me and shook his head.
"No, sorry. Something just.." he stopped. "Let's go now." He said that made me a little disappointed. Honestly, I was kind of expecting him to continue and share his problems with me, but I understand if he doesn't want to.
After a while, I found ourselves leisurely walking side by side on a road with a lot of trees on both sides. I looked above and silently admired the beautiful green leaves of the trees. I was smiling but then it disappeared when I remembered how quiet and cold he is right now.
I glanced at him sideways and saw him just coldly looking straight ahead. I sighed and looked straight ahead. When I saw a long staircase ahead, an idea popped into my mind. Without saying anything, I held his hand and ran, pulling him with me.
As I ran towards the staircase, he was still quiet and he's just letting me pull him. I stopped near the staircase and turned my head at him. When I saw that he's about to go up the stairs, I immediately stopped him. He looked at me and frowned slightly.
"I have an idea."
