"I lost focus with my studies when my mother got hospitalized. I couldn't think and study properly knowing that she's sick. I know that my father and grandparents are taking care of her, but I still couldn't help it. But then I realized that she wouldn't want me like that, so..."
"It was so hard!" Lisa exhaled deeply before letting out a laugh. "Sorry, we're supposed to be having fun but I told you about my hardships." She said before filling her mouth with the fries Minseok got from her favorite fast-food restaurant.
"It's okay, silly." Suho chuckled softly. "We're friends, and we're always here for you. You're always free to tell us about the happenings in your life—whether it's good or bad."
"You sound cheesy but thanks." She smiled genuinely. I noticed Tao fishing something out of his pocket. He tapped on his phone a few times before raising his arm.
"Look here!" He shouted, causing everyone to turn their heads at him. I smiled at the camera and when everyone was already ready, he clicked the shutter. After taking a few pictures, he laughed as he typed something on his phone.
"I'll send it to Luhan and Lay hyung."
Shortly after, a sound from his phone filled the room.
"Say hi, guys!" When he showed us his phone, I saw Lay's face on the screen. Behind him is a huge glass wall, allowing us to see the sky and some buildings.
"Oppa!" Lisa waved her hand excitedly. Lay chuckled and waved back.
"Hyung, I suppose you're now wishing that you're here." Kai teasingly told him as he showed Lay a bottle of alcoholic drink.
"When will you come back here, Mr. Workaholic? Sehun misses you!" Baekhyun shouted a bit loudly. When I looked at him, I saw him steal a glance at me.
"Yeah, I'm working on some papers when Tao sent me the picture." After hearing what he just said, we all broke into a fit of laughter.
"Hyung, are you high?" Tao said and laughed loudly. After several minutes, they decided to end the call as Lay still has other things to do.
"Luhan hyung hasn't seen the picture yet. Maybe he's busy with his fiancée." He said before putting down his phone on the table.
Luhan went back to China after graduation, and he wasn't alone. He was with his long-time crush slash girlfriend. And after a few years, we received a news that they got engaged.
Later on, I found myself listening to them reminisce some moments from years ago.
"I won't ever forget how the students often gossiped about us like we were celebrities." Kai grinned. "Ah, I miss those moments." He added.
"You all thought you were so handsome." Lisa mocked, and the guys shot her an offended look. Tao gasped in disbelief, to which Lisa responded with a smirk.
"How could you?" Baekhyun uttered as he dramatically clutched his chest. He was the most triggered along with Kai and Tao who childishly started a petty fight with her.
"Can't you take a joke?" Lisa groaned and before I knew it, the four of them were already laughing as they bantered with each other.
"I miss the rooftop." Chanyeol suddenly spoke, which caught Lisa's attention. She looked somewhere for a while before bringing her gaze to me.
"Actually, I know someone who often went there." Lisa said as she stared at me with a playful smirk playing on her lips. I rolled my eyes, realizing who she's talking about.
