"What?"
I asked her in disbelief.
"What if I tell you that he's just playing with your feelings?" I chuckled and shot her an incredulous look.
"And who are you to say that?"
"Chaeyoung, I'm worried for you." She said with a concerned expression on her face. "I know Sehun. He's the type to hold a grudge against someone who hurt him. You already know what happened between us, right? It's been years but he still can't get over it."
"After what Jackson and I did to him, he became a player. He didn't want to hurt me back, so he hurt other girls instead. He started playing with girls' feelings instead of getting even with me. And as you know, he's like a magnet. A lot of girls are into him. He led them on and broke their hearts in the end."
I chuckled. "You think I don't know his past?"
She sighed. "I don't want you to experience what the other girls experienced because of him, Chaeyoung." I shook my head.
"He changed already. And, sorry, but he told me he loves me." I said confidently. "Excuse me." I turned around and walked away.
"I'm truly, madly and deeply in love with you."
She said suddenly that made me halt. "That's what he told you, right?" When I looked at her, I saw a mocking smile on her face.
"Well, that's what he told me too when he confessed. He probably also said that to all of his girls back then." I can feel my chest tightening as I watch her shaking her head.
"You know, he likes telling his girls he loves them even when he doesn't. And once they find out the truth? He'll still deny it. He'll tell them that he really loves them, hoping that they would believe him and stay with him so he could hurt them even more." She sighed.
"Now, are you still sure that he loves you? Or do you finally realize that he's not serious with you? That you're just like the girls he played with?"
My eyes watered as I stare at her.
"Ask him." She smiled.
"I hope you won't fall for his lies anymore."
"Lisa, can we talk?"
The four of us stopped when Chanyeol stood up and went to us. Lisa crossed her arms and lifted a brow at him. I thought she was going to speak but she walked past him instead. I glanced at him before following Lisa.
Sehun smiled at me when our eyes met, but I suddenly felt an ugly feeling when I remembered what Yoonah and I talked about. She's sitting at the head of the table and talking to Taehyung but when she saw me, she gave me a smile. A mischievous smile.
I sighed and decided to sit between Jennie and Jisoo. The two glanced at Sehun before looking at me. The guys are looking as well but I ignored all of them. They're just used to seeing me with him whenever we eat.
I was just quiet as we eat our dinner. Sehun is seated on the other side of the long table, so he couldn't talk to me. I can hear him talking and laughing with the guys but I can also see him stealing glances at me. When we finished having dinner, he went to me as I expected.
