The Family

𝙿𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝟿𝟹 - 𝙽𝚘 𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚎 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚑𝚘𝚖𝚎

I wake up, Ace is sat on the chair next to the bed but he has dragged it next to the bed. His head is in his hands as his elbows rest in the best. One of his hands is laced with mine and the other is supporting his head, i slightly shuffle in the bed and Ace stirs.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to." I say and he shakes his head. I move over in the bed and he climbs on, he lays behind me and wraps his arm around my waist. His thrums brushes across my stomach and I feel
Giddy. I can just imagine us, this is my family. My little perfect family. My Trio.

"How you feeling." He asks while kissing my hair. My stomach flips at the small gesture, I place my hands ontop of his while smiling.

"Yeah I'm ok I just feel a little sore but apart from that I'm fine." I say and he kisses my head multiple times. "Ace." I blurt out and he hums in response.

"Yesterday. A man got me out the car. Who was that." I ask turning to face him, i okay with his shirt buttons and he watches me.

"I have men follow you around. You never know they are there but since Xavier it eases my mind known your by yourself. I was going to tell you but it was around a month and you never noticed so I thought I wouldn't worry you." He says and i smile. I actually don't mind. It's a little weird having people follow me but if it helps Ace I don't care.

"Even when I'm with you." I ask and he nods his head. I frown, what is an bad that Ace couldn't protect me. "Why can't you protect me." I ask and he pulls me closer and i rest my head on his chest.

"Of course I will baby but yesterday if they weren't there baby I have no idea what unwound have done. You hit your head pretty bad and you weren't responding when I was talking to you. You scared the fuck out of me." He says rubbing my back.

"I'm here thought aren't I." I say as I take his face in between my hands. "Nothing will ever. Take me away from you ok." I stats crashing my lips down on his. I pull away and rest my head into his shoulder and he does the same with me.

He pushes his head into my hair and i smile. I can not imagine my life with him, he really has changed my life completely. I would not have it any other way.

"You need to stop worrying about me." I say and he sighs.

"I'll always worry about you." He says and i smile.

"Don't go all soft on me Marino. Your ment to be my big tough gangsta." I say making him chuckle.

"I'm the husband today." He replies and i smile. I close my eyes and fall back asleep to the beat of his heart and the reassurance of his breathing.

"How you feeling now." Ace asks and I let our a sigh. Ever 10 minutes Ace asks if I'm ok or if I can feel anything wrong with the baby. It was cute at first but now I want to hit him.

"Ask me that again, pregnant or not I will kick your ass." I say making him laugh. I have absolutely no chance against Ace but he would never hurt me which is my advantage.

"I would actually pay you to try." He says and in one quick motion i straddle his waist and pin both his hands either side of his head. "Your too cute." He says. Effortlessly, he lifts his hands as if mine weren't even holding them down.

"Take a day for Ace." I huff and he sits up, he hugs my body and I lean into him. He chuckles and wraps his arms around my waist.

The door open and a doctor walks in, I quickly scramble to get off Ace making him laugh. I playfully hit his chest but he grabs my hand and laces his hand through with mine.

"Mrs Marino, your vitals are stable. You are free to go, we are just going to need someone to sign your discharge papers." He says and i nod my head.

Ace climbs from the bed and follows him out the room. A nurse comes in the room minutes later and remove any IV.

"Congratulations by the way I herd your having a baby." She says and i nod my head smiling.

"Yeah I'm only a few weeks though." I say and she smiles.

"Well congratulations anyway. I'm sure they will be gorgeous with you as parents." She says and i laugh.

"Thank you but it's mainly Ace." I say making her smile.

"Girl you gorgeous Don't put yourself down like that." She says making me laugh. We continue talking for a few minutes while she helps me get ready. Ace comes in the room with a piece of paper and folds it putting it in his jacket pocket.

The nurse leaves and i out my outfit in from yesterday. No one had time to get me any news clothes, Ace stayed here with me even though I told him to go home. Everyone else was so shocked about the baby they totally forgot about me.

"Have you ever worn anything other than a suit." I ask and he laugh.

"What of course I have." He says and i smile.

"Well I'm not complaining you look insane like everyday." I say making him roll his eyes. I stand from the bed, he puts his arm around me and gathers my things as we leave the room.

"I hate these places. Freaky they are definitely haunted." I say with a frown looking around the halls.

"Eiffel you serious." He asks, I just nod my head and lean into him as we make our way to the elevator. As I lean into his side I feel something hard.

"What's that." I ask as we step into the elevator. He laughs and opens his jacket, when I look it's his gun I'm a little holder.

"Awh I see too good for just tucking it into your belt then." I say and he laughs. He takes my hand and guides it behind him under his jacket. My hand reaches the metal and i roll my eyes.

"Two seriously." I say and he nods his head. I roll my eyes and stand i front of him. I lean back and he wraps his arms Over my shoulders and locks then in front of my chest.

I swag back and forth to the elevator music and he laughs. "Your so pretty." He says and i laugh. Leaning my head back onto his chest he kisses my forehead. I look up at him, he's looking down at me and my stomach flutters under his glare, I reach up and unlock his hands, I pull then down and cross them over my stomach.

The elevator opens and we walk out together, we make our way out the hospital and I begin to grow nervous about getting in the car. "Ace Wait." I say and he stops and looks at me.

"Yeah." He says and looks at me. I look at the car and he realises, he rubs my arms up and down and I lean into him.

"It will be fine babe." He says and we slowly walk towards the car. Ace opens my door for me and I climb in.

I shuffle in my seat and play with my heads while looking around the car. Ace closes my door and climbs in his for, he takes my hand and pulls it into his lap. "Everything's ok baby." He says as he begins to drive.
