Chapter 69: The Attack on Allesandra

"Hughhh~!" Beatrice called out to Hugh,
"Ugh— cough cough cough C-crap!" Hugh almost choked when he heard Beatrice calling for him,

Mash was just about to pat his back, but Beatrice quickly got in between him and her, pushing Mash out of the way and switching places with her—

"It really is you!" Beatrice quickly locks her arms around Hugh's arm,
"Oh man—! Get off of me!" Hugh said as he tries to push Beatrice away from him, but the young lady's grip is strangely strong!!

"Hugh I miss you so much!" Beatrice said,
"Well I've got news for ya'! I enjoy never seeing you!" Hugh said,
"Awww don't be shy my dear Hugh~!" Beatrice said, "You've always been and also cool,"

"Argh! Man! Just let me go!" Hugh finally managed to free himself from Beatrice and took a step further away from her,
"Knock it off, can't you see where we are? Do you wanna embarrass your brother?" Hugh said,

"There's nobody near! And if you're worried about that then we can just go somewhere else toge—"
"Well sorry, but I came here with someone," Hugh quickly pulls Mash toward him,

"Hugh..!" Mash quickly elbows Hugh and whispers to him,
"Please...! Be my shield just for tonight...!" Hugh pleaded near her ear,
Mash could feel his breath near her ear and quickly covers it, as she felt the heat rising to her face, "Okay okay...!"

To Beatrice, it seemed like the two of them are flirting with the way Mash blushed as she covers her ear. She was already surprised when Hugh pulled Mash close, but then seeing them 'flirting' with each other Beatrice felt jealous...

"Who is she...?" Beatrice asked,
"I-It's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Beatrice. I am Mash Kyrielight." Mash said as she bows politely to her,
"I've never seen you before....from which family are you from?" Beatrice asked with a smile,

"I am not from Alessandra, I am but just a traveller." Mash said,
"A traveler...so you're not a noble...," Beatrice said,

Hugh notice the change of tone in Beatrice voice, and the way she looks at Mash...it's as if she's looking at someone below her...
"I see....and what kind of relationship do you have with my Hugh?" Beatrice asked as her eyes open slightly,

"Oh I am—"

"She's my gi—no, she's my fiancée!" Hugh said,
"....what—!?" Mash's eyes shot open,

"pffft—!"
"Uggh—!"

Both Ritsuka and Ayden went to inspect the scene, though they did not expect Hugh to use that kind of card—
Ritsuka almost choked on the sweet she was eating, while Ayden tried to hold his laughter—!

"F-fiancée...!?"
"Yeah, that's right! That's why, I would really appreciate it if you don't act that way in front of me ever again, because...because I am already in a relationship with her!" Hugh said as he held Mash's hand,

"W-w-w-wait wait wait, Hugh....!" Mash is busy trying to process what they hell this guy in front of her saying!
Fiancée....fiancée!? She thought they would just pretend to be a in a relationship, but not so far as being ENGAGED!!!

"No way....you're kidding right?"
"Sorry, but I'm not joking. I am honored that a lady such as you would show interest to someone like me, however I have found someone I love. And I don't want to hurt her, so...forgive me, but please don't chase after me anymore," Hugh said, and he leaves with Mash....
