Couple of weeks passed by, Mullai and her new roomie Abhi tried their level best to maintain the peace inside the room. They were two poles apart personalities...

Abhi: so what department are you in mal..mullai?

Mullai rolling her eyes...

Mul: Journalism major with English and Psychology...

How about you?

Abhi: Chemical Engineering...

Mullai snapped and looked at her...

Mul: you like chemistry?

Abhi: I love chemistry...infact I wanted to do Bsc Chemistry...but mom wanted me to do engineering...

Mul: aathi....indha ponnu sangathame venam daaa...nu iruku chemistry ke...

Abhi: sorry..i didn't understand...

Mul: nothing....nothing at all...Hobbies?

Abhi: dance....n you?

Mul: singing...

Abhi: I hate this south Indian Carnatic music...

Mul: I love kacheris...she said flaring her nose..

Abhi: well...sorry....

Wanna watch some movies?

Mul: I don't watch hindi movies...

Waana watch some English movies..

Abhi: I hate them...

Hey bholenath...hamne aisa kya kiya ki aapne hame aisa ek roomie de diya...

She sulked...

Nothing was common amongst them...

Talking in English within the room, made them feel even more alienated...

She looked a morning person, and Mullai hated waking up from bed...

They tried their maximum level best to stay away from each other...

Talking only when the need was maximum, also it was not like they had to forcefully stay in the room...

There were pretty many tamizh and hindi people in the hostel, that they could anytime go and spend time with others...

The only time they met each other became before going to bed and right after waking up to getting ready...

One fine Saturday morning, at around 10 am,

Mullai was getting ready for an outing planned with her classmates...

She was about to leave when she saw that her so called roomie yet didn't wake up...

Abhi was a morning person was something she knew very well...even if it is weekend...

She used to be up by 9 am...
