"You must be kidding!" Kimberly whined in upset. "Please, Daddy!" Her arms were flailing about, lips in a pout. She was the image of upset.

Dale sighed and hugged his Daughter. "It'll only be for two days, Poppet." Dale was going on that trip. He thought about it for a few days, the pros and the cons as any normal person would, and the truth was the only con was leaving Kimberly behind. Although Dale enjoyed being around his Daughter, he did want a bit of time to himself where he was constantly worrying which he would get if he went in this trip for work. It also gave extra pay, would put him closer to a promotion and would strengthen the friendship between him and the Mitchell's. They had been so helpful.

"What am I supposed to do while you're gone?" Kimberly had reason to be annoyed. Her Father was spending more and more time away from home which any normal teenager would enjoy, but since Kim had always been kept by her fathers side since childhood, it was hard for her to be without him now. She didn't know what to do with herself.

"Well-" The doorbell rang. Dale smiled and released his Daughter from the hug. "I think that's our answer."

Kimberly furrowed her brows. She knew it wasn't friends. She didn't have any.

Her father pulled open the door for her gaze to be set on the two very handsome Mitchell's. Her eyes grew wide, jaw falling slack. Once she saw the two men looking in her direction a blush rose to her face. That's when she realised she was only wearing a large shirt. She squealed and rushed up the stairs, careful not to flash the men.

Robert held in his chuckle while Caiden laughed freely. "She wasn't expecting us?" Robert asked as his Son laughed at the girl's shock.

"Not quite." Dale bit the inside of his cheek. "I didn't want to tell her once I knew about it because then that would be all I'd hear of until the time I left." He did feel a little guilty for springing it on the girl, but he didn't know how else to do it.

Kimberly hurried to throw on some trousers so she wasn't at risk of flashing the men. She hurried back downstairs not to seem rude after finding a pair of blue pyjama trousers and stood by her Father's side. "Are you all packed and ready to go, Kimberly?"

She squinted her eyes at the man that helplessly teased her a few days prior. "No...why?"

Before either of the Mitchell's could respond, Dale turned his Daughter to face him. "As I explained, you aren't able to come with me for this, poppet. But, you won't be staying on your own. The Mitchell's have graciously offered for you to stay with them in their home until I get back."

Kimberly's throat ran dry. Stay in a home with two gods? How am I meant to survive? The though did excite her she must admit. She enjoyed their company, but sometimes they could be intense which the girl wasn't used to. "Oh."

"We aren't that bad, are we?" Caiden joked with a playful wink which this time Dale did see, yet brushed it off presuming it was a joke.

"I- no, I'm just not used to being away from daddy."

Caiden chuckled to himself. Daddy's right here.

Robert turned to look at his Son with a disappointed look, as if he knew exactly what the boy was thinking. "Would you like any help packing?" Robert suffered, still standing outside the door in the nice cool air. Even on their day off the two men still looked semi-formal. Caiden was dressed in black jeans, boots and a turtleneck, the only thing breaking apart the black colour scheme was a long, deep brown coat. Robert was of course wearing a button up shirt — also black — with black dress trousers. You'd swear the man's entire wardrobe was suits. Suit up. A line from a show Dale watched played through Kim's head.
