Saiki's Disastrous Life at UA High

Chapter 74- You're Here!

Deku runs through the trees, his mind racing as his broken arms flail helplessly behind him.

Saiki wasn't at the clearing. That can only mean he went to look for Kacchan, they've been really close lately. Kacchan and Todoroki went second in the test of courage. If they didn't go back to camp yet, then they might still be around here! A loud crash sounds in the forest. Midoriya has no time to react, but something quickly pulls him aside, into the bushes.

"Mera!" Midoriya whispers, glad to see a classmate.

"Hi, Midoriya. We have a bit of a problem." Mera chuckles nervously, pointing her thumb over her shoulder and toward the loud noise from earlier. "Tokoyami has gone a tad crazy."

"No... don't tell me..."

"Yeah..."

"How did it get this bad?" Midoriya hisses to Mera. They're both crouching behind a bush as Dark Shadow ransacks the forest around them.

"This weird tooth guy attacked us. He kept mumbling something about flesh so I gave him some boiled chicken, and we were able to make a run for it. Buuut I think Tokoyami thought the chicken was my hand or something. Dark Shadow started to go crazy and here we are! Hiding from our own classmate while villains could kill us at any moment." Dark Shadow growls in anger, eventually screaming into the sky as his rage grows stronger. "It's pretty scary, huh."

"I had no idea his quirk could explode like this!"

"It seems like his training would've helped a little bit, jeez." Midoriya hums in agreement, looking down as he ponders what to do.

I can't just leave Tokoyami here, but I have to find Saiki...

"Teeth attack? Seriously? It's time to burn this guy with everything I've got!"

"You can't!"

"If the trees burn, just cover them with ice, stupid!"

"A big explosion will impair my vision though. I may not be able to see the fire! And how are you going to get close to him, anyway?" Todoroki adds, which causes Bakugo to growl angrily.

"There! I see ice; they're fighting!" Todoroki and Bakugo turn their heads, their eyes widening as they see trees in the distance falling in large groups. Mera and Midoriya are running for dear life, neither in good condition to be running.

"Bakugo! Todoroki! We need light!" Midoriya screams, his voice cracking a little as he does so. Moonfish attacks the newcomers but is immediately defeated by Dark Shadow, who grabs him and crushes him against the ground like an annoying spider.

"Mera and Midoriya! And is that Tokoyami?" Todoroki questions, in awe of the gigantic monster before them.

"Kacchan! Please!"

"He's out of control!" Mera adds, explaining a little better why they need the light.

"He's attacking blindly. I'll use my fire!"

"Not so fast," Bakugo warns, putting a hand in front of Todoroki. Bakugo watches as Moonfish slowly begins to crawl back up, his teeth seemingly multiplying as they lift up his pathetic body. He attacks the shadow before him, immediately regretting his decision when Dark Shadow attacks back, squeezing him hard enough to break his teeth. "Now finish him," Bakugo smirks, glad he has a front-row seat to this fight. Dark Shadow tosses Moonfish aside like a used tissue. The villain hits a tree and falls to the ground like a ragdoll; he's definitely unconscious.

"THAT'S NOT ENOUGH!" Dark Shadow screams, his eyes wild as he searches for more prey. Bakugo and Todoroki both spring into action, using their quirks to calm the monster down.
