You were getting better, but just like with any recovery, it takes time

You were getting better, but just like with any recovery, it takes time. You looked out your hospital window, with a faint smile on your lips, you loved winter. Winter was the season before life came back alive, a reminder, that with death- comes life.

Winter was cold, bitter, yet sweet.

You looked back down at your mini project for Gojo, you were making him a blindfold. He was always wearing that thing he calls a 'blindfold', yet all it really is, is just a bunch of bandages; and to be quite frank, it just makes him look like he's injured all the time. You chuckled as you continued sewing the blindfold, when a sharp sting emerged from your index finger- blood. A small blood pool formed on your index finger, you took a sharp breath as it only reminded you of your mother's face. She looked at peace, even at the very end, even when she knew what would become of her once she was exorcised.

This year would become the very first year that you wouldn't be spending Christmas with her, the thought of it made you feel nothing else but- numb. You wanted to cry, but there were no longer any tears left for you to cry. Life goes on, winter was a reminder of that, and you were getting better. Even as the memories of your mother flooded your brain, her sweet smile and comforting touch, to seeing her come at peace with her faith.

It was time to let go.

You've beat yourself up for something that was inevitable, you couldn't control what was going to happen- and that was alright. Not everything will go your way, you cannot save everyone. You wiped your bloodied index finger away, as if accepting that it was time to move on, you can still avenge her and live your life. Moping around and being miserable won't solve anything, doing what's right and helping those who need saving, that's the best thing you can do- and you can't do that being on this hospital bed.

Your thoughts were interrupted at the sound of the sliding door, and you looked to your right to see a Satoru Gojo with a box of Kikufukus on his right hand and flowers on the other

Your thoughts were interrupted at the sound of the sliding door, and you looked to your right to see a Satoru Gojo with a box of Kikufukus on his right hand and flowers on the other. He wore those bandages on his eyes, along with the same grin that he always greeted you with every time he visited you. "Hey (Y/N), how you holding up?" He asked, as he replaced the old flowers on your bedside with the new ones.

He then pulled a chair to your side and set the Kikufukus on your bed, "I'm alright, but aren't flowers hard to find during this season and expensive too? Those must've quite a hassle to find." He chuckled, "What can I say? Aren't I just the greatest?" he spoke, as he nudged your shoulder. You could only playfully roll your eyes at him, and you received a pout from him.

"You were suppose to boost my ego up and say 'Sato-Kun, you're the best!', and this is what I get?"

"I think your egos boosted enough, Sato-Kun."

And with that, he sniffled, "I'm hurt." He mumbled, turning away from you. You sighed and gave in, years of friendship and Satoru Gojo hasn't changed one bit, "You're the greatest Sato-Kun." He perked up and grinned gleefully back at you, "But you don't have to keep visiting me everyday, Shoko said I'll be discharged pretty soon." And he pouted once more, "I visit you everyday, because I want to." He crossed his arms and looked away, and you couldn't help but chuckle.

Gojo Satoru, at the age of 18, was one of the most powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers alive, you might even dare say- the strongest and most powerful Jujutsu Sorcerer that the Jujutsu World has ever seen. Yet here he was, in front of you, pouting just because you told him not to visit you everyday. "Alright, Alright Sato, you can visit me everyday." He looked back at you with the look of triumph plastered all over his, gorgeous face, but you wouldn't dare say that to him. What chance do you have with him? You were from a family that has died off, your distant relatives, the Kamo Clan wants nothing to do with you and on top of that, everyone wants Gojo Satoru. And that wasn't an exaggeration, you mean, literally, everyone wants Gojo Satoru- whether it'd be in the Jujutsu World or the Human World.

"Come to the Winter Solstice Festival with me, (Y/N)."

He spoke, and to your surprise, there wasn't a hint of playfulness in his voice. This would be one of the only times he spoke with such seriousness, and you weren't sure if you should feel terrified or exhilarated. You felt your cheeks become tainted with a hint of pink, as you looked back down at the blindfold you were making, "Don't you have someone else to go with.. Like another girl.." You muttered quietly. "Nope! Just wanna go with you!" He spoke gleefully, and when you looked back up at him, he had the most sincerest smile you've ever seen.

"Also, what's that?" You were broken out of your trance once again as you looked at what he was pointing at, it was the blindfold you were making him. "Since Christmas is coming up, I thought you should replace those bandages that you call a 'blindfold'" You saw him clutch his heart and wipe fake tears off his eyes, "For ME?!", you swore your eardrums just bursted when he yelled that right in your ear.

He removed the bandages off his eyes, and his bangs that were once held up by those bandages, were now sitting right above his eyes, and there it was- his ocean blue eyes

He removed the bandages off his eyes, and his bangs that were once held up by those bandages, were now sitting right above his eyes, and there it was- his ocean blue eyes. You were always enthralled by them, captivated, it always felt like one wrong move and you'd fall into an abyss you couldn't escape from. "(Y/N), do you mind if you put it on for me?" You gulped down your anxiousness and nodded. He turned around and hummed, as he waited for you to wrap his new blindfold around his eyes.

You wrapped the blindfold around his eyes, making sure that his hair was also out of the way during the process, and that the blindfold was tied securely. When he turned around, he had the same old smile plastered on his face, "I love it!" and with those words, you couldn't help but feel your heart clench. "I'm glad." You spoke softly, and he reached out to hold both of your hands in his larger ones. "Come with me to the Winter Solstice Festival, (Y/N)" He repeated once more, how could you resist him? It was impossible, and with that, you answered with the answer that he's been waiting to hear.

"I would love to go with you, Satoru."
