Hoseok discovers BTS ARMY's different ships.

What the heck?

The sunshine's mood quickly hits a rock bottom. They all are active on social media - Namjoon has at least two fake accounts on Instagram alone to chat with ARMY. So Hoseok decided it is time for him to join the club. The first thing he got was TikTok. At first it was a bit hard to understand what is actually going on, but he's pretty sure he understands the basics now. Luckily it didn't take long to enter KPop-TikTok. It is nice to see how many people care about them and their music. And some of those edits? Amazing. ARMY are really talented. It is a bit weird to see all those people simping over Yoongi - or should he say suga or Agust D - but it's not like he isn't used to it by now. Not like they know.

It's not like they know that he's been dating Yoongi for about two years now. Or was it even longer? Shortly after them deciding not to disband and overcoming the struggles and obstacles that they had to deal with because of their increasing fame, Hoseok decided to take it a step further. Yoongi had a hard time dealing with his depression and anxiety during that time and Hoseok was there. And while Yoongi was extremely worried about being a burden to him, Hoseok wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Somehow he managed to convince his crush that they would make a great couple. And well... they still are. It's probably been 3 years by now. It's hard to keep track of such things when you're busy all the time.

However, that doesn't mean Hoseok is immune to doubt. And right now Yoongi isn't there to dispel it like he usually would.

But Hoseok needs Yoongi right now. Because he doesn't know how he ended up at this point.

That hashtag seems to be quite popular. Over 1.3 billion clicks. The hashtag Sope doesn't even have 400 million clicks. Great. Just great. He doesn't even know why but he starts from the very beginning and keeps going on for hours. There is no end to it. Without noticing, Hoseok spends his whole afternoon analyzing the content he wishes wouldn't even exist. And the fans are right. Jimin really is the perfect partner for Yoongi.

If Hoseok would think rational, he'd remember that they aren't allowed to show their affection towards each other on camera. All they are allowed to show is friendship. That's why he doesn't cling to his boyfriend all the time. It's because it is not only friendship that connects the two. It's so much more and it's hard to suppress all those feelings, all those memories, and emotions. It's easier to just stay at a safe distance.

Jimin doesn't have to keep this distance to Yoongi. He doesn't have to pretend. That's also why he seems a lot more relaxed around Yoongi than Hoseok often does. It is weird to see how fans interpret Hoseok's struggle to hide his love (and also his simping) as him being uncomfortable around Yoongi. It's weird how they analyze every single move they make. Although, when you pay attention closely, you can see what exactly happens when Bighit Entertainment allows them to sit next to each other. Because they really do get touchy.

However, Hoseok isn't thinking rational. Not right now. He keeps on falling into this spiral of videos showing him Yoongi's obvious love for Jimin and Jimin' s love for Yoongi. He isn't dumb. He knows Yoongi isn't in love with someone else. But the fact that apparently everybody else on this goddamn planet thinks that way kinda hurts.

Who is he kidding, it hurts really bad.

The screeching of his door opening pulls Hoseok out of it. Yoongi peeks into the room, a soft smile appears on his face when he sees Hoseok curled up in a ball on their bed with messy hair. "Hoseok-ah. Come on out of here, it's dinner time."

Hoseok just stares at him. He can't force himself to move right now. But he's craving Yoongi's warmth. He's craving his love and the reassurance that it's them. It's them and it will always be them. So Hoseok just keeps staring at him.

Yoongi's smile turns into a worried expression. "Hobi, is something wrong? What is it, sunshine?" He slowly approaches the bed and sits down next to Hoseok. As soon as he begins to pet his head and caress the slightly shorter hair on Hoseok's neck it's over. Hoseok pulls him into an almost suffocating embrace, hiding his face in Yoongi's neck. He doesn't want to let go. Never ever again. And Yoongi also doesn't seem to mind. His arms hold Hoseok in a gentle but nevertheless secure way, giving him all he needs. Hoseok knows it's not fair to take out his jealousy and doubts on Yoongi. It's not Yoongi's fault and it's not Jimin's fault either.

"I love you, Yoongi." Hoseok mumbles, it's almost inaudible. "I love you, Hobi." Yoongi mumbles, too. To him an 'I love you, too' seems less meaningful. Don't ask. It's a weird habit.

Yoongi knows that something's going on but doesn't want to force his love to tell him anything he's not ready to tell. Still. "You can talk to me, sunshine. I'll listen. You could tell me anything and I'd be happy to listen to you." Hoseok nuzzles his face further into the welcoming warmth that Yoongi radiates. "I'm okay, Yoongs. Don't worry. Just promise me you won't leave me for Chim." The rapper almost chokes on his own saliva. "That really is the one thing you'll never have to worry about, Hobi-ah. Jungkookie? Maybe. We're all whipped for him."

Hoseok just nods.

That's true.

"But Jiminie? Even if he was my type, do I look like Usher?" Giggling Hoseok manages to grab one of Yoongi's hands and starts to play with his fingers, intertwining them with his own and ends up just caressing his knuckles.

He's really lucky to have such a kind and considerate partner

They both forget about dinner and end up sneaking into the kitchen at midnight to get some snacks. Hoseok is also really lucky that Jin doesn't find out. Just imagine that. Terrifying.
