Winwin has been thinking about this for a long time now. He thinks he might finally be ready to tell the others he's gay. It's a huge thing for him, probably a huge thing for everyone - especially because he is not sure if his friends are going to accept or at least tolerate him. Winwin also doesn't want SM to know. He doesn't want to be "the gay idol", he just wants to be himself.

Today is a perfect day, after a long time he can finally visit the NCT 127 dorm, his members invited him and he's allowed to spend a whole week there. Yuta already managed to convince Taeyong to switch rooms with him so his best friend can spend every single minute together with him.

Sicheng is absolutely happy. He's ready. He's memorized what he wants to say. He's practiced it in front of his mirror. He knows when to look them in their eyes (if he can manage to, that would be pretty cool), when to look at the floor, and when to close his eyes. Just to be absolutely sure. Everyone should already be downstairs, relaxing on the couches.

Walking into the living room, Sicheng awkwardly stands there and realizes that there's no space left for him. Doyoung takes up space for two people by stretching his legs over three thirds of one of the couches, resting his head on Taeil's lap who's reading a book right now. Johnny isn't even here, probably calling Ten right now. Well, just a bit more than half of the group is actually here. There's Doyoung, Taeil, Yuta, Jungwoo, and Donghyuck. Mark and Taeyong are probably out and running some errands.

Then why is there no space left for me?

"Guys?" Sicheng mumbles.

Nobody reacts. Yuta is sleeping deeply, taking up the space of one whole sofa, Jungwoo and Donghyuck relaxing on the two chairs, apparently playing some kind of game together on their phones.

It's quiet.

Sicheng tries again, "Guys? Hey?"

Out of the blue, Taeil explodes, "I swear to fucking God, Sicheng, if you interrupt my reading once more, this book will become a lethal weapon!"

By now, Doyoung is soothingly patting Taeil's thigh, Jungwoo and Haechan take their eyes off of their phones, both looking annoyed.

Donghyuck's eyes twitch back to the screen. "Oh, wow, thanks!" he sarcastically says, obviously upset. "Now we lost."

Yuta is just blinking, still in a daze from waking up just now. What exactly is happening right now?

"S-Sorry, I-"

"Please be quiet, I can't even hear myself losing the will to live," Doyoung interrupts.

And that's what Sicheng does. He shuts his mouth. Today is not the perfect day, today is a shitty day. The shittiest day this perfect day could turn into. Tears threaten to fall, but he can't humiliate himself even more. He can't move. He's still awkwardly standing there, hands fiddling out of nervousness.

It's over. Why am I nervous?

Sicheng stands there for a few more seconds, not able to do anything, stuck in his mind, his racing thoughts. Until a voice pulls him out of there.

"Sicheng? Sicheng?"

Sicheng doesn't look up, but his gaze twitches in the direction of the voice. It sounds safe. Nice.

"Come here," Yuta mumbles sleepily, holding up one arm in an inviting way to let Sicheng lie down next to him. Sicheng hastily hides in Yuta's arms, the older pulling him into his chest.

"Did you want to say something?" Yuta whispers.

Sicheng shakes his head. He can't help but notice the lack of complaints about Yuta talking.
