Summary: going on a dangerous mission and chris being reluctant to let you go

You knew he didn't want you to go but it was an important mission that you needed to do because innocent lives were at stake. Chris knew how important it was but he was scared to lose you. You had been the best thing that had ever happened to him and he wasn't sure what he would do with himself if he lost you.

"I don't like this."

You sighed as you gathered your supplies, "I know, I don't either but I have to do this. It's my responsibility to make sure nothing happens to them. I know you're scared, I worry about you too when you have to protect an innocent but you know I have to do this. I love you and I will come back."

Chris sighed as he picked up the potion on the table instead of talking about it more, "Did you bless this?"

You rolled your eyes when you realised when he was avoiding the subject, "You know I did. Don't shut me out please."

"I don't know what you want me to say. I love you and I don't want to lose you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I can't lose you." He spoke without looking at you. You knew it was hard for him to talk about his feelings, especially when it comes to you.

You wrapped your arms around his waist and rested your head on his back, "I love you too. You know nothing is going to stop me from coming back to you, I will fight with everything I have in me to come back to you. You and I, we're end game. You of all people know how important this is but I am going to take every precaution needed. I will be okay and I'm going to miss you while I'm gone."

Chris didn't reply as he turned around to wrap his arms around you.

"I'll miss you too." He sighed as he tightened his grip around you. You both basked in each others embrace for a moment before you knew you had to leave or you would be too late for what you needed to prevent from happening.

You exhaled as you unwrapped yourself from him, "I should get going." Chris nodded as he helped you gather all your supplies before pressing a kiss to your lips. You pouted when he pulled away, the kiss ending too soon.

"There will be more of that when you come back." He teased.

You bit your lip as you pressed yourself closer to him, "You sure you can keep that promise?"

He smirked, "Is that a challenge?"

"I guess it is, you think you can deliver?"

"I guess you'll have to wait and see."
