Chapter 24

Percy POV

I spun around and saw her.

We were surrounded by a ring of monsters.

Slowly, she walked towards us.

"I see no sister of mine. I see a blood thirsty traitor!" growled Annabeth.

"Always the feisty one is it?" asked Isabella

Annabeth only tightened her grip on Caleb.

"What do you want?" demanded Gemma

"I want Chaos bowing down to me! I want the galaxies! I want revenge!" she screamed

"But why? We were family!" protested Annabeth

"Family does not send you away for your childhood years!" she screamed

A boulder exploded due to her anger.

We faced the exit in ready to run.

"You aren't getting away that easily. ATTACK!!!" she shouted

Annabeth passed Caleb to Omega and Gemma guided hem to safety.

The rest of us got out our weapons and charged.

Somewhere during the fight, Isabella disappeared after a few fatal blows courtesy of Annabeth.

We fought for what seemed like hours but the monsters kept coming.

It's a miracle we're still fighting.

Then, Annabeth decided to use some of her powers.

Slowly, we started making progress.

In no time, we had won.

Isabella was no where to be seen but I knew this us not the last we have seen of her.

Then, I heard a strangled cry of pain.

Zac.

Oh Styx!

We spun around and saw him.

He had a stab wound dangerously close to his heart.

A dracenae had stabbed him.

Immediately, Gemma shot an arrow at it and it disintegrated.

We crowded around him.

"I can help. I can heal." said Annabeth

"No it's too late." he said

"No" muttered Thalia

"Just promise me this." He started

"Anything." replied Annabeth

"Defeat Isabella for me." He said

We nodded at him.

"We will Zachary. Thank you for everything." said Annabeth, teary eyed like most of us.

I am not saying that I am crying.

Slowly, the light from his eyes faded.

He was gone.
