Chapter 38

Percy's POV

She started bring the whip down.

I lunged towards them.

I flew threw the air faster than humanly possible. Then again, I am part human.

I jumped in front of Annabeth, blocking Isabella.

I used Riptide to block the attack from the whip.

The blow was so strong, my sword was vibrating and it made my arm numb.

I landed on the ground next to Annabeth.

"Foolish boy!" snarled Isabella.

She lunged at me with her sword.

I quickly got to my feet and blocked the attack.

We started to fight but she was too strong.

My forehead was already beaded with sweat.

It was so sudden, I couldn't see what happened.

All I know is one moment I'm fighting Isabella, the next my head is being crushed on a rock.

With a jolt I realized what had happened. She had flung me and I hit the hard rocks of the mountain.

All I knew was pain.

I slipped in and out of consciousness.

The world was blurry.

I could make out shapes and some faces.

Annabeth had gotten up and charged at Isabella.

She was an angel, literally.

Her wings had burst out of her back.

The two sisters fought for a while.

Annabeth looked like a princess and a warrior at the same time.

Her eyes sparkled with fierce determination.

The ground was shaking.

There were tornados and hurricanes around us.

The shadows became thicker.

There was fire everywhere.

It stated storming.

Lightning flashed.

Thunder boomed around us.

The both of them were controlling the elements.

With one final blow, Annabeth struck Isabella in the heart.

A singe tear ran down her face as she looked into the eyes of the lifeless body of her sister.

Somehow, I managed to get to my feet.

I stumbled towards her and embraced her in a hug.

Letting her sob into my chest.

It was finally over, or so I thought.

Annabeth raised her head and looked at me.

Her silvery eyes with golden stars brewing like storms in them, once a stormy grey were shining with tears.

The next few words she spoke made terror run through my body.

"End is gone."
