"I'm sorry." I huffed to myself before literally giving in to my own mind.

My eyes wandered towards the girl with long black raven hair as she walked towards me and Austin. Her gun in her waistband and the way her hips slightly swayed when she walked. Her smile bright as the sun when Ally had said something to the small group. The previous night really got to me and I wanted to be around her at all times now. It was so easy just to talk to her. Maybe it was the fact she had been through almost the exact same thing. We both lost people we loved dearly.

I'd gladly be there for her if she was gonna be there for me.

"We'll protect each other."

"Hey, guys." I smiled as we finally reached each other and ended up continuing our walk back to the house.

"So, how'd everything go?" I questioned them and Shawn chuckled a bit.

"Everything went smoothly, nothing was out of sorts but... this kid..." He laughed and Ally started to laugh along, "The amount of magazines this kid had under his bed was fucking insane."

"He had a library, Y/N."

"But, we might wanna fire up one these vehicles to move the supplies over. There's a lot." Shawn patted my back and continued to walk in front of me which had me look over him.

He was a bit more warm than usual... hopefully it stayed like this because I missed my friend. Shawn was never the rude one he always looked at the positive- which is why Austin and him got along so well. Lately I couldn't tell what kinda person he was changing into but I didn't want him going down that path.

"Hey uhh what house?" I heard Austin as he wrapped his arm around Shawn's shoulder.

They both laughed deeply as Austin persisted on where the house was so he too could look at the collection. The night air cooling us down once more as we treaded back to Dinah's home and once the RV came into view my legs grew more and more tired. When we finally reached the lawn near the garage they all stripped their bodies of their weapons and bags. I knew they were just as exhausted as I was and I knew I had to get this generator going.

"Aus? You wanna help me get it going?" I questioned and he looked up at the dark sky and groaned.

Before he could answer I heard someone else pitch in, "I'll help." Lauren made her presence known once more and moved closer to me.

"You really need to rest." I worried and she softly slapped my arm.

"I'm fine." She insisted and I knew I wasn't the one to change her mind so I waved Austin off.

"Dinah's getting the first shower." I made it clear and they all agreed simultaneously.

Making my way towards the garage I sighed to myself just before reaching under and pulling up the door. The room surprisingly wasn't smelly and the tarp hadn't moved an inch. I could see his fingers peeking out from the cover in which I graciously put them back. Lauren put her hand on my back while I started to take more than a moment for myself. He meant so much to Dinah.

"Come on." She whispered softly and she led me back to the task at hand.

She pulled out the generator that we had gotten from the RV earlier in the day and immediately started to hook everything up. She connected all the wires together after checking if we had the fuel to power it up and soon enough we were cranking it until a low rumble echoed through the garage. The lights above us flickered for some time before steadily staying on and I heard yells from the inside of the house. I smiled at the sound while I heard Lauren close the garage door behind us.
