Chapter 29:

Alpha Simmons POV:

I groaned and slowly opened my eyes, looking around. I growled lowly when I realized I was in my no good daughters room. Everything came back to me and I roared in anger, jumping up. That son of a bitch tricked me. We all thought he was dead, but I saw him with my own eyes taking my daughter away.

I jumped up and stomped my way through the house hitting my men awake as I went.  I made my way into the kitchen to find my Beta standing there shaking in fear and anger. “What is going on?” I snarled demanding to know why he was acting like this.

“Sir. They’re all gone. The women and the children. Every single one of them is gone.  I had our tracker follow their scent and it led him back to the Richards territory.” He said shakily, probably afraid that I was going to take my anger out on him, and usually I would. Right now, though, I just wanted revenge on the Richards pack.

They better be ready for war, because I’m coming.

Liam’s POV:

I woke up with Ally clutching to me even tighter than usual. I sighed knowing that things wouldn’t be this peaceful for long, especially since Alpha Simmons had seen Anthony. He would be out for blood now, and I feared that it would be soon. I would have to get everything ready for war today. I didn’t want us to be unprepared.

Ally began to stir and I grinned down at her as she sleepily opened her eyes and yawned            before staring up at me. “Morning beautiful.” I said before leaning down and pecking her lips softly. I leaned my forehead against hers and just stared into her eyes.

“Ally. I know you aren’t going to like this but starting today you’re going to have to stay with the rest of the women and children in the safe house. I’ll be with you as much as possible, but I have to help prepare the pack.” I said softly while running my hands through her hair gently.

She sighed and nodded in understanding. “I figured.” She said and then buried her head into my chest and snuggled closer to me. I held her tight to me knowing that I had to get up soon. We couldn’t waste too much time, and I wanted to make sure Ally was all settled in at the safe house.

I didn’t like the thought of her not being with me at all times, but I had to deal with the pack and I needed to know that Ally was somewhere secure while I did that. That way I would be less distracted and could get everything done faster. Then I would have time to spend with my mate.

Sighing, I stroked Ally’s cheek once more before removing my arms from her and sitting up. “Alright angel, we have to get up now. You can spend the first part of the day with me while I inform everybody about moving to the safe house and make the rounds to see all the fighters and prepare them. Then I’m going to have to meet with the other Alpha’s and talk strategy.” I said down to business and she looked at me in wonder.

“Liam, you’re going to make such a great Alpha.” She said in admiration and a sense of pride enveloped me. My mate thought that I was going to be a good leader. She respected and admired me and it meant more to me than anything in the world.
