Chapter 25:

Ally's POV:

"Liam…" was all I was able to choke out as I was overcome by shock. I was speechless by the amount of thought and work Liam had put into this proposal. I never would have thought that he would propose so soon.

I mean of course I figured that someday we would get married, but I just never expected to be this soon. Nobody had ever put so much thought into something for me, and the fact that Liam had went through all the trouble to put this all together brought tears to my eyes.

Liam obviously mistook my silence and tears because his whole face dropped and his shoulders slumped. "Oh, right. I understand." He said and I saw his eyes cloud over in anguish. He looked down at the ground and avoided my gaze before I heard him sigh and run his hands through his hair. Then he started mumbling to himself which I noticed he does quiet often when he is stressed or upset.

"…can't believe I did that…. moving too fast…. upset my mate….. I'm an idiot… don't know what I was thinking… she's never going to want to marry me now… now I'm going to have to wait to propose again…. no way I can top this one…. never gonna want to marry me… so stupid." He walked around in circles murmuring things along those lines and I was only able to catch bits and pieces of what he was saying.

I can't believe he thought that I didn't want to marry him. Of course I wanted to marry him. There is no one else that I would ever be with. Liam's the love of my life, and once I got him to calm down I really needed to talk to him about how much I loved him and how he needed to not jump to conclusions. He really needed a self esteem boost.

"Liam!" I said hoping that he would stop his  chattering and listen to me for a second, but he just continued to shake his head and mutter to himself. I repeated his name a few times before finally I reached out and grabbed his hands while screaming, "LIAM!"

This time Liam did look up at me with a distressed expression as he looked at me in confusion. I smiled softly at him before giving him one simple word as an answer. "Yes."

Liam continued to stare at me with a dumbfounded look on his face. "Yes?" He questioned still confused and I had to giggle at  him. I can't believe he still didn't understand what I was saying and the lost expression on his face was just too cute and funny not to laugh at.

I decided to clarify for him since he was obviously still puzzled and lost in his thoughts. "Yes, Liam. Of course I will marry you." I said softly and it only took a couple of seconds for my words to fully register in his mind before his face broke out into a grin and he reached out pulling me into my arms.

I wrapped my arms around his next as he lifted me off the ground and spun me around while laughing. I buried my head into the crook of his neck and giggled along with him with a large smile on my face. Liam set me down after a few seconds and stared down at me while I got lost in his deep forest green eyes. He looked down at me lovingly and I couldn't tear my gaze away. Liam smiled at me. "I love you Ally." He said sincerely before reaching into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box making my heart skip a beat.

Liam gently grabbed my left arm which was still wrapped around his neck and pulled it in front of him before sliding his hand down to the tips of my fingers. He removed his hand for a second to open the box and pull out the ring inside before the warmth of his hand returned to my palm and I felt the cold metal of the ring as he slid it upon my finger. I grinned as I looked down at my finger and gasped at the beauty of the ring. It was a simple cut, but it was beautiful and it fit me perfectly. "Liam, it's beautiful." I said making him beam down at me.

''I was hoping you liked it. My mom helped me pick it out." He said sheepishly running his hand through his hair before wrapping his arms around my waist. I moved my arm so it was once again resting on the back of his neck and I began to rub my hands through his soft brown hair loving the feel of it under my fingertips. Liam made a growling noise in the back of his throat as he closed his eyes in contentment and before I had a second to think his lips came down on mine softly at first before the kiss quickly turned passionate.

We stood there making out for a few minutes before Liam reluctantly pulled away. "As much as I would love to continue this, our lasagna is going to get cold." He said and I squealed in excitement.

"Lasagna?!" I asked and Liam just nodded chuckling at me before he led me over the the flat rock where we had our picnic the last time we were here. He let go of my waist and reached out to grab a pile of blankets and pillows and a bad that I hadn't even noticed before. Liam unfolded the thickest blanket, laying it down on the ground before he placed the pillows at one end.

He held his hand up for me and when I grabbed it he pulled me over to the blanket and sat down pulling me onto his lap. I snuggled into him as he pulled out two plates of lasagna with silverware and uncovered them handing one to me.

We chatted and laughed as we ate his mom's delicious lasagna and when we were done, Liam put the plates back into the bag and moved it off to the side. Then we laid down and stared up at the stars. I was snuggled into Liam's side and his arms were wrapped securely around me while he rested his chin on the top of my head.

I was thinking hard about Liam and I's relationship. I finally looked up at Liam with a smile on my face. He looked down at me questionably waiting for me to speak. I built up my courage and said, "Liam, I think I'm ready." I said knowing that he would probably not know what I was talking about at first since I was a bit vague.

"Ready for what, angel?" He asked while absentmindedly tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear while staring down at me lovingly. I blushed slightly and he cupped his hand over my cheek making me sigh and lean into him even more.

"I'm ready to fully mate with you. I know that most werewolves usually mate almost right after they meet, and you have been so patient and understanding with me. I don't want to wait anymore. I love you, and I want to be yours in every way possible." I said my face burning even more if that was possible while Liam just gaped down at me with his eyes wide.

He stared down at me without saying anything for another minute or so before he grinned down at me. "Ally, it's true
that most werewolves mate soon after they meet, but we were just special. I didn't mind that we had to wait, because then I had time to get to know you, and love everything about you. I would wait forever for you. Are you sure you're ready? I don't want to rush you in anyway." He said concerned, but I could see the longing in his eyes, and I knew this was what I wanted.

"Liam. I have never been more sure of anything in my entire life." I said strongly and without another word Liam crashed his lips to mine, and that night Liam and I finally mated, and now every werewolf would know that I belonged to him.

Liam's POV:

I opened my eyes to see the bright sun glaring down at me. I looked over and smiled at my little mate snuggled into me with the side of her neck, that now held my mark, exposed. I smiled as I thought of how last night was the best night of my life.

I got this beautiful girl in my arms to agree to marry me, and then she let me fully mate with her. I was the luckiest guy in the world right now. That thought was proved even more when my little mate began to stir and opened her eyes staring at me with love while she gripped onto me as tight as possible.

"Morning, angel. How did you sleep?" I asked knowing that that was the best sleep I had ever gotten. Ally looked up at me and I pushed the stray hairs away from her face so I could stare into her blue eyes while she answered.

"I slept great." She answered and I could feel the love and content through our newly formed bond before I felt her become slightly nervous, and I looked down at her worriedly. She started to bit her lip as she looked like she wanted to say something.

"Ally, what's wrong?" I asked trying to figure out what could be making my mate so nervous. I pray that she isn't regretting last night, and that it's something else making her feel this way.

She took another moment before finally asking, "Liam,  can I could last night as… my first time?" She asked quietly and I looked down at her sadly wishing that it really was her first time and nobody had taken her innocence from her by force. She obviously misunderstood my look of sadness because she quickly rushed out, "I mean it's ok if you don't want me to… I just thought that since it was my first time willingly that it would be fine, but I don't have to."

I cut her off with a quick peck to the lips. "Ally, of course you can. I am not ashamed to say it was my first time, and I wish more than anything that it could have been yours. I wish that those men hadn't done what they had. We are going to forget them, thought, because that's never going to happen to you again. Not now that I am here. Nobody will ever hurt you again." I said strongly meaning every single word.

Ally looked up at me and leaned up to give me a soft lingering kiss. "Thank you, Liam. I love you." She said making my heart swell with joy that this girl loved me, and that she was mine forever. She was my mate, and I was never letting her go.

"I love you, too. So much." I said before a thought suddenly occurred to me. "Ah. Ally, we should probably get back because I'm sure my mother and sister are dying wanting to know how the night went. They are probably already talking about color schemes and flower arrangements for the wedding as we speak." I stated with a roll of my eyes knowing that's probably exactly what they were doing.

Ally laughed and we both got up and began packing everything away. She gingerly grabbed her lilies off the ground, and I couldn't help but ask. "Did you like the lilies? Actually how was the whole proposal? I know the dinner and everything wasn't very fancy, and obviously my freak out when you didn't reply right away could have been left out, but how was it? Did I do alright?" I asked genuinely curious as to what she thought about the whole thing.

"Honestly I loved everything. The lilies were amazing and the things that you wrote had tears streaming down my face because they were so sweet. And I love lasagna, so I don't care that it wasn't fancy. It was thoughtful and that's what counts. Also your freak out was a bit unnecessary, but it wouldn't have been nearly as exciting if I had just said yes right away." She said finishing with a giggle, and I smiled at the fact that she liked everything that I had done.

I wanted everything to be perfect and it may not have been absolutely perfect, but she said yes, and that was all that mattered. Ally said yes, and after the war and school was over, we were going to have the wedding of her dreams.
