Chapter 26

Ally's POV:

Liam and I walked hand in hand back towards the house with grins covering both of our faces. Last night was amazing. I was just so happy to finally be fully mated to Liam, and I couldn't wait until everything was done with the Simmon's pack so we could get married and start our family together.

We already had Adam and I know that Liam is going to want more kinds, or pups, in the future and I found myself wanting the same thing.

I had never really thought about what I wanted to do in life because I never considered the possibility of making it out of my father's grasp. Now that I had a chance at a future all I wanted to do was spend my life with Liam and the pack. Liam was going to become Alpha so I would have to become the Alpha female and somehow it just felt like that's what I was meant to do. It felt right.

I smiled even wider at the thought and Liam looked over at me curiously. "What are you thinking about, love?" he asked me as the house came into view.

I turned to him and answered simply, "Our future." This made Liam beam down at me as we walked up the stairs into the house. He didn't have to reply because I could see that he was just as costumed with the same thoughts as I was.

I took a deep breath before Liam opened the door because I knew what was coming. "LIAM!!! We've been waiting all night! How'd it go?! She said yes, right? Of course she said yes! Oh I'm so happy for you!" As soon as we were inside we were bombarded with Leah's screams.

She ran to the door and instantly pulled me into a hug. Liam growled lowly at his sister for pulling me away him but I saw the amusement in his eyes as his sister started rambling about wedding plans until she stopped mid sentence and stared at the place on my neck near my shoulder blade.

I was confused for a minute before I remembered that I now carried Liam's mark and everybody would know what we had done last night. I blushed profusely at this waiting to see what Leah and everybody else's reaction to this would be.

Leah continued to stare at my mark in silence so I looked up to Liam with wide eyes. Liam just smiled at me not embarrassed at all by the fact that everybody knew we had mated last night. I just blushed even more as the rest of Liam's family and my brother and Adam came in.

Everybody was now staring at my mark in shock and I looked down at the ground in embarrassment until I heard Leah yell, "Well it's about time! Way to go bro!!" She said and my head snapped up to look at her in shock.

Everybody around the room laughed at my expression before they began to congratulate Liam and I making me even more confused. Shouldn't they be upset that we mated so young or something? Isn't that how a normal family would react? Clare must have seen my dumbfounded expression on my face because she made her way over to me.

She pulled me into a tight hug and whispered in my ear. "Ally, don't worry. It's normal for werewolves to become fully mated to their other half right after they meet, and you and Liam have made it much longer than most pairs. Leah and Ethan barely made it a week before they mated." She said giggling at the end before hugging me once more and pulling away to go congratulate Liam.

I grinned after her until I saw Anthony walking towards me with an expressionless mask on my face. I nervously shifted from foot to foot as he approached me. "Ally, can we talk in private." He asked me with no emotion and I nodded seeing that Liam was surround with the rest of his family.

Anthony lead me up towards his room so we could talk alone. I didn't know what he was going to say but I had a hunch that he was going to tell me how he disapproved of my mating with Liam, and I don't know if I could handle it if Anthony was disappointed in me.

We made it to his room and I bit down on my lip anxiously and waited for Anthony to start speaking. He sat down on his bed and looked over at me with a stern expression before slowly he started to smile. I did a double take. Wait… is he smiling? I thought he was going to scream at me, and now he's smiling.

Anthony laughed at what I'm sure is a pretty funny look on my face. "Don't look so shocked, Alex. I wasn't going to chew you out or anything. I just wanted to talk." He said laughing as I was still confused. When his words registered in my mind I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Tony! You scared me! You didn't have to be so expressionless when asking to talk to me. I thought you were going to disown me as a sister or something. Don't do that to me!" I said while glaring at him before my glare softened and I went to sit by him. "If you weren't going to yell at me, then what did you want to talk about?" I asked curiously.

Anthony looked at me and said, "Well, first of all I would never disown you as a sister. Then who would make me food?" He said jokingly and I fake glared at him until he laughed and continued. "Anyways I just wanted to talk to you about this whole mating thing, because we've never really had the chance to talk about Liam. Now, don't start freaking out. I'm alright with the mating although I could've gone without knowing when you guys fully mated, but hey it comes with being a werewolf. Besides that though, I approve of you and Liam mating and getting married. It's obviously that boy worships the ground you walk on, and I just wanted to let you know that you have my blessing to marry him. He did everything right. He even asked me for your hand in marriage. So I just wanted you to know that I'm glad you found Liam because he makes you happy and all I've ever wanted was for you to happy little sister." He said and I sent him a watery smile.

I sniffled and leaned into Anthony's side. "Ok…. I'm only younger by 7 minutes! Anyways, it means a lot to me that you approve of Liam. He really does make me happy and I can't imagine my life without him. I want you to know Anthony that you deserve to be happy too, and we are going to bring your mate home." I said making Anthony smile as he wrapped him arm around my shoulder and kissed the side of my head.

"I love you, Alex. I'm so glad we found each other again." He said I nodded silently agreeing with him while I just enjoyed our time here alone. We don't hang out alone often enough, and that's going to have to change. Right now, though, I think it's time to talk to Liam about going to get Anthony's mate because I know he's dying inside knowing that she's stuck with those awful people.

I stood up and pulled Anthony up after me. "Come on Tony. Let's go and make a plan to get your mate back." I said and that's all it took to make Anthony sprint out of the room pulling me behind him. I guess somebody is excited to get their mate back. I can't blame him though, because I would be the same if I was away from Liam for too long.

We were downstairs in no time at all and I was glad to see that it was now just Liam and Adam in the living room. I love Liam's family, but they were a bit overwhelming and right now I just wanted to get Anthony's mate back. That would be a bit hard if Clare and Leah were rambling about wedding plans.

Liam was now sitting on the couch with Adam in his lap and they were laughing about something. I grinned at the pair walking over and lending against Liam's side. He immediately put his arm around me and I got comfortable as Anthony took a seat across from us. He looked over at us sadly and I gave him an apologetic look. I know Anthony would do anything to just relax with his mate like this.

Anthony shook his head and sent us a forced smile before his face turned serious. I noticed that Liam also got his business face on. "So I'm guessing that its time to talk about going to get your mate?" Liam asked and Anthony nodded his head.

"Yes. I can't let her be there any longer. We need to go… tomorrow. No guards are on duty on Tuesdays. It's our opening. I will need to go tonight and tell Gracie to gather all the women and children and make sure they're ready to go tomorrow night. I know how to get past the guards and I know all the weak spots so I should be fine, but if I'm not you still have to continue with the plan. I need Gracie out no matter what. Tomorrow we will try to get in and out without being noticed. We don't need any bloodshed with the women and children around. After we get all of them to safety we need to up the guards and be prepared for an attack at any time. All mates and children will need to always be under protection. They are ruthless so we need to be prepared. If you have any other packs that would be willing to reside on your land until the war is over, that might help. Not that your pack isn't capable of fighting but we are going to need all the help we can get to destroy these monsters." Anthony said with authority and I stared at my brother with pride.

Liam looked slightly surprised that Anthony already had a plan, but at the same time he looked impressed. "Anthony, that sounds like a plan, but I'm not sure if you should be going alone tonight." Liam said looking at me worriedly. He knew I wouldn't like the idea of sending my brother into the enemy's house by himself while the guards were on duty. I knew, though, that Anthony was going to do this no matter what Liam or I said. He was going to do this for his mate and there was no way I was going to be able to stop him.

Anthony looked annoyed that Liam had questioned it, so I stepped in. "He's doing it no matter what, Liam, so we might as well support him and help him as much as we can. You know you would be doing the same thing if you were in his position." I said and Liam just looked away because he knew it was completely true.

"Alex is right. I have to do this for my mate, and there's nothing you can do to stop me."  Anthony said with determination, and Liam nodded accepting his decision.

"Well, your plan sounds good. I'm going to assemble the fighters in the pack and prepare them for tomorrow. We will bring all the fighters to help escort the women and children back and just in case anything goes wrong. Then I'm going to make some calls to the neighboring packs and all the packs who have reported mates to be kidnapped by the Simmon's pack. It's likely that they will all be willing to help us in this war." Liam said and I couldn't help but think about how great of an Alpha he was going to make.

I smiled proudly at him, and he looked down at me with love in his eyes. "You can come with me while I talk to the pack members and make phone calls, but that might be boring for you. Maybe you could take Adam out and see if any of the pups are playing games outside." Liam stated and I loved the fact that he gave me a choice.

"I think I'll go out and play with Adam and the pack kids. I think I'd just slow you down with your work. Come find me when you're done." I said and pecked his cheek as I stood up ready to go find where Adam ran off to as soon as he realized they were going to be talking business in here.

I walked over to Anthony. I leaned down to wrap my arms around him. "Anthony James, you better come back tonight. If you don't I swear I will hunt you down just so I can beat you up myself." I said sternly before hugging him once more and walking off praying that he would safely return tonight.

Anthony's POV:

Alex left with a threat and I had every intention to return home safely tonight. I wasn't going to leave my sister alone again. Never again. I also couldn't leave my mate alone. She has been through enough and I wasn't about so strand her when she needed me the most.

I looked over to Liam. He was still watching the door that my sister left through. "Dude, I would make fun of you for being so whipped, but I know that I'm just as whipped as you are."  I said and we both laughed. Our laughter died down and I sighed. "Well, I'm going to get ready to go. I'll be leaving as soon as it becomes dark." I said before getting up and exiting the room.

I went up to my room and laid down on my bed trying to relax before I had to go to the Simmon's territory. I knew it was dangerous, but I had to do it for my mate and all the other women and children in the pack. They all deserve to be away from that pack. They shouldn't have to constantly live in fear.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realize I had been laying here for so long. I looked outside and realized that it was beginning to turn dark out. I got up and made my way downstairs and outside before shifting into my wolf.

I raced through the woods knowing that I was going to see my mate soon. It hadn't been that long since I last saw my mate but it seemed like forever. After we got her back I was never going to leave side. I would never leave her for his long again. Right now it was just necessary that she stayed there. Tomorrow though I was going to get her out of there and we were never going to look back.

By the time I reached their pack house, it was completely dark out and I could see most of the night guards dozing off at their stations. For being such a ruthless pack they were extremely careless. There was only two guards awake and it didn't look like they were too far from falling asleep.

I shifted and quickly pulled on the clothes I carried with me before creeping around to the back where I knew Jerry was on guard. Jerry could sleep through a hurricane so I was positive he wouldn't wake up, but I still made sure to be silent as I passed him on my way to the tree by Gracie's window.

I quickly scaled up the tree and opened the window quietly. I noticed Gracie sleeping peacefully in her bed this time and for a second I just stood and watched her sleeping. I sighed and walked over pushing the stray hairs out of her face. I gently shook her awake covering her mouth with my hand so she didn't scream and alarm anybody in the house.

Gracie woke up with wide scared eyes but she instantly relaxed when she noticed it was me. I removed my hand from her mouth and stroked her cheek softly loving the sparks that flowed through my body just from that one simple touch. Gracie closed her eyes and a smile graced her beautiful face.

"Gracie I don't have much time so I'm afraid this visit has to be very short. I just came here to tell you that we're getting you out tomorrow. We are coming to take you and all the other women and children away from this place. I'm taking you home Gracie. Then we'll end this once and for all. I need you to make sure that everybody is ready to go tomorrow. All women and children that want to leave need to be ready to flee here by the time we come. Liam's pack is going to escort them all back to his territory, and I'll come to get you myself." I told her while staring down at her lovingly.

She looked up at me in awe. "Anthony. You're really going to get us all out of here? You're really going to get me away from here?" She asked in shock, and I smiled at how adorable she was. I can't believe I was so lucky to have a mate as amazing as Gracie.

"Yes Gracie. I'm going to get you away from here forever." I said truthfully while staring into her eyes. I turned to look at the clock and sighed. "I have to go now Gracie, but I'll see you tomorrow night. I love you." I said and gently kissed her lips before reluctantly pulling away. "I love you so much."  I whispered before kissing the top of her head and standing up.

"I love you, too." Gracie whispered sadly and I turned knowing that if I looked at her any longer, I wouldn't be able to stay. I just kept in my mind that I would be returning tomorrow and then I wouldn't have to leave my mate.
