Chapter 8:

*2 Months Later*

Liam’s POV:

I woke up with a smile on my face just as I had for the last couple of months. That smile was because of who I woke up next to every morning. My mate. My Ally. It has been exactly three months since I met Ally, and she has been living here for most of the time.

Things were going great for her too. I thought I could see a change after only a couple days of living here, but now everybody can see a change in her. Her blue eyes that were lifeless and dead now had a glint and sparkle in them.

She was livelier now, and even if she didn’t speak yet, you could tell she was very bouncy and energetic and caring. She would flit around my house cooking with my mother and helping my sister pick out the “perfect” outfit.

Everybody absolutely adored her. My mother was always dragging her to the mall to go shopping or to the salon for a girl’s day. I don’t know how she has made such a big impact without even speaking, but she managed it.

I would expect somebody who has been through what she has, to be very antisocial and not like to be around people, but Ally wasn’t like that at all. She loved our family dinners, and she confided in me that dinners and movies with my family was her favorite thing about living here.

I suppose that is because she has missed out on having a family and just spending time hanging out with them. That is something that I’ve always taken for granted. I never thought what my life would have been like without my family.

Just seeing how Ally is able to act around people shows me how strong she is. She has been through hell and come out with a great personality and an aura about her that made people love her.

Especially me. I loved her. I loved her with everything I had. I even thought I loved her the moment I saw her, but the love I feel for her now has grown immensely from that. She has showed me what an amazing person she is, and I loved her for that.

She may not love me yet, but I know she is starting to trust me. I assumed that she would kick me out of the bed after she was comfortable in the house after a few days, but she has let me sleep next to her every night.

She still hasn’t told me anything about her past, but she has told me about herself. I know that her favorite color is green and she loves nature. She told me that lasagna was her absolute favorite food and she was ecstatic when that was what my mother made for dinner when she met my family.

I knew lots of little things about her like that. She loves children and animals which was good for me since I wanted kids in the future and I was part animal in a way.

She loved cooking and baking especially and the most information I have gotten about her mother was that she taught Ally how to bake and garden. My mother loved the fact that Ally could bake because although my mother could cook, she was awful at baking.

Me being the lucky guy that I am, I got a mate who can cook and bake. She was everything I have ever wanted and more. I was going to tell her that tonight, too.

Today was kind of like a three month anniversary to the day we met, so I wanted to do something special for her. She has been here long enough, and probably already knows that I love her, but tonight I am actually going to tell her.
