HELIOTROPE

(n.) a light purple or violet colour

I suppose this is another name for a shade or colour, like how you can also use lavender to describe a light purple. Used for juicy and descriptive paragraphs of maybe a place with lots of colour, or just a few lovely sentences about a pretty flower or object of this colour.

Examples:

The garden overflowed with an abundance of delicate and fragrant flowers, from ruby blooms to  heliotrope blossoms.

The paintbrush danced across the canvas, reds as bright as rubies or as dark as blood and shades of purple like lavender, heliotrope and violet flowed across the rough paper. Vibrant colours bloomed everywhere the brush tip touched, like magic.
