Two weeks later
Bucky had been coming by for the last two weeks after work to eat pie. It was a Tuesday morning Bucky had already been by to get his usual. But they were having a last minute meeting and he wanted to have donuts and coffee.
So he called the bakery McKenna took the phone call when Makayla asked about delivery.
"James.." she said
"I need a dozen donuts and a dozen muffins. And about 8 coffees." He said
"But we don't.." she said
"I know you don't but nobody has to know." He said
She looked down.
"I'll pay you extra for the gas." He said
"Fine.." she said
McKenna put together the order when Gracie came in. "We don't do delivery unless it's a wedding." She said
"Shut up Gracie. I'll be back." She said and she left.
She made her way to the city and to Bucky's office building. When she made her way upstairs he met her at the elevator.
He smiled at her. She followed him to the conference room and she sat everything down. He paid her in cash.
She was about to leave when he stopped her. "What?" She said
"You look so cute all flustered." He said
"I'm not flustered. I'm irritated that you made me drive all the way out here." She said
"Well your bakery is the only bakery I trust." He said
"Well that's good news." She said
"And I wanted to see you again." He said as he caressed her cheek.
"James we talked about this." She whispered
"You talked.." he whispered in her ear.
They left the conference room and went into his office.
"And it clearly went in one ear out the other." She said
"I can't help that you make me feel things and think such dirty things about you." He whispered
Bucky went to lean down to kiss her but got her cheek. "James.." she whispered
"McKenna.." he whispered as she left.
"Hey McKenna thanks for the donuts." Sam said
"Oh hey Sam and Steve good morning." She said as she left.
Bucky sat down in his desk chair and groaned.
