Tris's POV:

I sit on my bed at 3AM unable to sleep.

I mean... How could I? Tobias has been at the Hub for two days.

Every time I try to go for him, Will and Christina talk me out of it.

My door opens.

I look over to see Crystal and Parker.

"Mom?" Crystal asks.

"Yes?" I ask looking at them.

"Did Daddy leave us?" Parker asks.

My gaze softens.

"C'mere," I say.

They climb onto my bed.

"Your daddy loves us and he is trying to protect us. No matter what happens remember your daddy loves you okay?"

They nod.

"Can we stay here?"  Crystal asks.

"Of course."

I kiss both of their foreheads.

"We're going to be okay."

I rub their shoulders.

Tobias's POV:

Eric groans and awakens.

"About time," I say.

"This wasn't smart."

I shrug my shoulder, "as long as my family is safe, I don't care."

"God, why do you have to be so... Loving?"

"Because I have people to love."

"Oh spare me your cliche love story."

I glared at him.

"If you are going to kill me get it over with."

"I'm not going to kill you. You are going to find therapy."

Eric laughs bitterly, "Why? Because I am psychotic?"

"Try sociopathic?"

"Same difference."

"Eric, you need help."

"You're one to talk."

I raise my eyebrow at him.

"You really think Tris wants me to kill you?" I ask.

"Yes."

I shake my head, "She has children, you really think she wants me to take away some else's kid away?"

"But shooting me?"

"She was threatened." I look closer at Eric. "You really think your mom wants you gone."

"I would want me gone," he says, his voice cracking. "Look at me. I'm sick. I wouldn't even want me around."

Eric, the all powerful, was sobbing.

"I've done so many horrible things. You think my mom wants me!"  I don't deserve a second chance."

"Everyone deserves a second chance."

"All the people I hurt."

"If you want to change then show people."

He put his head in my hands.

I put my hand on his shoulders.

"I heard creating a soul helps a man."

That earns a chuckle from him.

"C'mon," I say.

Eric gets up.

"Maybe I'll create one of those."

"A soul?"

He nods.

I shake my head and laugh.
