Tobias's POV:

I watch Tris's lifeless body.

"What did you do to her?!" I yell.

I try to get up but I fail.

"Arg."

Eric gives me a look.

"If you want your Tris, to live, let's make a bargain," he says.

"What?"

"I let Tris live, if you let me keep her."

"No," I say.

"No?"

"You won't kill her because I kill you first."

"Yeah well, you have a scarred back."

"And you have been shot in the foot by my wife. Which is worse?"

I sit up, my hands cuffed.

"Why are you doing this?" I ask.

"I don't know."

I give him a glare.

"If you don't know, why do you do it?" I ask. He is silent. "I know why you do it... It's because you are sick. You are a sick twisted psychopath."

Eric walks out.

Tris's POV:

I groan as I get up.

Tobias's face comes into view.

"You're up," he says.

"Thanks Captain Obvious."

I sit up.

"Tris. This is not the time."

"Sorry."

"Why are you always so stubborn?"

What did I do?

"Wait. I tried to save you and this is the thanks I get?! I'm sorry I love you!" I yell.

"Tris, I tried to warn you but didn't listen."

Is he really trying to test my patience?

I lost my wits and I slap him.

Hard.

My knuckles burn and I rush the blood rush to his face.

"How dare you criticize me for trying to help me when you would've done thing."

He presses the palm of his hand on his face probably trying to cool his cheek.

I cross my arms over my chest and turn away from him.

He touches my hand.

"I'm sorry. That's not what I meant."

I was to angry to be softened up.

He put his hand on my waist and nibbles at my ear. I bat him away lightly.

"Stop!" I say smiling. "We have to find a.... How did you get your handcuffs off?"

"I swiped the keys."

I smile, "You definitely are my husband."
