Ch. 7: Kidnapped

Tris POV:

 I wake up and see a note under my door. I walk over to it and pick it up.
Dear Trs and Tobias,
                       I have Crystal and Anna. This is not an offer. No ransom, just death. I have them and I will kill them both. Better get here soon. If you can even find me. Tris, you stupid and naive girl. The troubles have not ended. This is just the beginning. And when Tobias sees such a terrible person you are, I'll have him with me again. It'll be like you never existed. Just like before you came.

I stumble a little. 
"Tris, are you--" Christina starts and I run out the room. 
She gets up and chases me. 
I am running to my house. 
I burst through the doors and run into Crystal's room. 
She's not here. 
Tris calm down, They could still be here. They could be in Anna's room. 
I run to Anna's room. Empty. 
I check my parents' room. 
Nothing.
The bathroom.
Nothing.
The kitchen.
Nothing.
The game room.
Nothing.

I check the every room in the house. 
Nothing.
"Tris, what are you looking for?" She asks me.
"More like who. Read this." I say handing her the note. 
I pull out my phone and call the police. 
"Hello, I would like to report two missing children." I say.
"What's your address?" 
"4610 Dauntless Drive." 
"We'll be right over."
I hang up the phone and pace around, running my hand through my hair. 
I hear a knock at the door. I run to open it. 
It reveals...Uriah.
"Oh it's you." I say a little disappointed while closing the door behind him.
"I'm sorry?" He says more like a question.
"I'm sorry Uriah the girls went missing and I am waiting for the cops to get here." 
He hugs me. 
Then I hear a knock at the door. I pull out of his grasp. 
I open the door revealing the cops.

"We have everything about the girls. Do you have any evidence that the girls were taken?" The Policewoman says. 
"Uh yea." I say and hand them the note. 
"Thank you. We will call you as soon as we know anything." 
"Thank you." 
I close the door and sit on the couch. 
Charles walks in. 
"Hey, are you okay?" He asks me.
"What the hell do you think?" I say angrily and then I start crying. "I'm sorry. I'm...I am just..." 
"It's okay. I brought you some coffee from the diner. French vanilla." 
I give him a small smile.
Zeke, Shauna, Lynn, Peter, and Will barge in.
I start crying again. 
Tobias runs in. 
I look at him and everybody else.
"I'm such a terrible mother." I say. 
"Tris, you are not." Tobias says.
"I wasn't there for them. All because of that stupid mistake in high school, now my baby is gone. And my sister." 
"Tris, it's okay. We will find them."
I hope he's right. He better be.
